The National League closed as a -136 favorite with the total set at 8 runs, but neither piece of the pick hit cleanly. The AL's 4-0 win covered the runline in dominant fashion, and the UNDER 8 cashed easily as the two teams combined for just four runs on three hits, though the NL moneyline side of the parlay lost outright.
The American League jumped ahead immediately, loading the bases against hometown Philadelphia Phillies ace Cristopher Sánchez in the top of the first. New York Yankees teammates Cody Bellinger and Ben Rice delivered back-to-back RBI singles to make it 3-0 before the NL had recorded an out, the first Yankees duo to both drive in runs in an All-Star Game since 1962. Miguel Vargas added an eighth-inning solo home run for the final margin.
From there, AL pitching took over completely. Dylan Cease and a parade of relievers combined to strike out 15 National League batters while allowing just three hits, the second-fewest in All-Star Game history, and only the 10th shutout in the event's history. Ten of the eleven AL pitchers used recorded at least one strikeout.

Cody Bellinger won the Ted Williams Most Valuable Player Award after his two-run single ignited the AL's decisive first-inning rally, becoming the fourth Yankee in franchise history to take home ASG MVP honors.
