Key Takeaways
  • The Giants are the most-bet moneyline underdogs at BetMGM.
  • Bettors aren't buying the Rams anymore.
  • The Steelers' Freiermuth is a popular player to score Sunday.

The Chiefs, back in vogue with bettors, are BetMGM’s most-bet team against the spread by tickets as 2.5-point underdogs against the Seahawks. DraftKings has also taken a majority of its spread bets on Kansas City, although Seattle has drawn 60% of the handle.

The Giants head to Houston as double-digit underdogs, but 89% of the money and 78% of the bets at DraftKings are on the NFC East squad. At BetMGM, the Big Blue are attracting 76% of the spread bets in the sportsbook's most-bet game of the week so far.

New York is also the most popular moneyline underdog with odds of +360 to win outright.

The Colts are among the most intriguing popular spread teams. They have struggled to a 2-4 record but seen the second-most money at BetMGM as 6.5-point underdogs at home against the Vikings, who are still getting the majority of the tickets.

DraftKings has seen 58% of the bets and 65% of the handle come in on the favorites.

DraftKings and BetMGM tell different stories regarding Steelers-Saints. The Steelers are getting a slight majority of the bets and handle at DraftKings, but BetMGM customers are much more interested in New Orleans, which has seen over 50% of both categories.

Pittsburgh is a three-point favorite in Sunday's early game in Paris. The Steelers are the more attractive moneyline side at both sportsbooks, and the over 44 is the third-most-bet total at BetMGM.

The Lions (-3) have attracted a sizeable 80% of the spread handle at BetMGM, while the Packers have drawn 42% of the spread bets at DraftKings. Over 53.5 is BetMGM’s most popular total so far.

Rams lose support

Bettors are turning on the preseason Super Bowl favorites. The Rams have suffered through injuries and poor play, falling to a 2-4 record after getting upset by the Cardinals last week as double-digit favorites.

Instead, bettors like the Raiders as 3.5-point underdogs. Las Vegas is getting 67% of the bets and 75% of the handle at DraftKings. At BetMGM, 80% of the spread money is backing the Raiders, who are the third-most-bet moneyline underdog.

Split decisions

Bettors aren’t quite sure what to do with the 49ers when they visit the Falcons as 2.5-point favorites. At DraftKings, 79% of the bets are on San Francisco, but 55% of the money is on Atlanta at home coming off a loss.

Dolphins-Jets also shows a split: Miami has 56% of the spread handle at DraftKings, while New York has attracted 67% of the spread bets.

For Monday's Cowboys-Eagles game, BetMGM has taken 68% of the spread bets on Dallas, while Philadelphia has attracted 54% of the spread handle.
