Monopoly Casino is a distinctive platform because of the world-famous board game with which it shares a name. The iGaming platform is also live with Ontario's online casinos and offers customers Monopoly-themed live-dealer games, slot machines, bingo, and a large offering of gaming titles.
Monopoly – launched in 2016 – is only available through Bally’s, which acquired Monopoly’s former parent company, Gamesys.
Bally Bet Canada is under the umbrella of the global gaming brand Bally’s, which includes retail and online casinos and a sportsbook. The company owns 20 land-based locations across 11 U.S. states and is also live in both Alberta and Ontario.
Monopoly and Bally Bet Canada were both open for pre-registration after being approved by the AiGC ahead of the July 13 Alberta sports betting and Alberta online casino launch.

Alberta was only the second Canadian province to launch an iGaming market, following Ontario’s April 2022 launch.
Since opening the market, Ontario has enjoyed strong economic benefits. The region’s revenue exceeded 4.2 billion CAD (nearly $3 billion) from more than 103 billion CAD ($73.5 billion) in wagers during the one-year period from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
While Alberta hopes to see a similar level of economic stimulation, it is also aiming to reduce the size of its illegal gambling market.
“Right now, roughly 70% of online gaming in the province happens on unregulated sites,” the AiGC previously said. “Our main goal is to transition players to a secure, locally governed market equipped with responsible gaming tools.”
As of the early June, 43 operators were registered with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission. That would mean that there are still plenty of platforms waiting to launch in the province once they are approved by the AiGC.
