To me, this is a matter of principle and my principles are non-negotiable.
Covers.com could have contacted me privately and suggest that I change the content of the thread so that it does not appear to some that I am promoting a website eventhough I am not
They didn't even bother. They just moved the thread to a section of the forum without warning.
Talk about a predatorial instinct.
I am looking for a website where I can continue this thread and it should be only a matter of days. I will be back no later than next Monday.

I don't think anyone accused nabil of promoting the site directly (like as a tout would)
He was told though that he was referencing a site that sold picks...which covers would say is a no-no.
I know the data is free...but you still have to understand that the site is a tout site. And you mentioning it is just giving free business and publicity to a covers competitor.
I don't know all of the particulars...all of this is my perspective...I don't represent or work for covers.
My advice like I mentioned about was to just start posting a new thread and don't mention the site... not sure why that is difficult? If your intentions are truely noble and your trying to help people that should be enough Good luck to you

Moving the thread without even giving me an opportunity to make the necessary changes so that it does not appear as promotions is unacceptable to me.
The ability to show courtesy to others is what separate humans from animals.
Reasoning and common sense separates us from animals as well.... and really your missing the mark here.
They move threads all of the time...that is their right since its their message board. By posting on their board you agree to obey the rules they have or you get banned or boxed.
I am sure your thread went under the radar as the name of the site doesn't appear on the surface to be a tout site. But they do charge for picks and analysis their.
I certainly understand your frustration but you do need to put yourself in their shoes. If you were running a business would you like people advertising your competitors?
I can tell you this though... Its highly unlikely they are going to back down. You are not the first person to have an angle and a following on this site. I am sure if you cut out the drama and didn't mention the site you'd be fine...not sure why you can't do that? Or do you work or respresent the site in question?

By lowering themselves to such practices, they are publicly acknowledging the poor quality of their products.

You were not even boxed or banned...they could have done that if they wanted to...since you did violate their user agreement.
If you think your leaving is going to hurt Covers your crazy...this board is full of systems and non-sense. There are 100 nabil's that will just take your place. And 100's that came before you.
