PHIXER Well said man . We all have a lot of respect for Mavin here so any trolling efforts are a waste of time... Though it always is worth an epic laugh when Mavin tells those fools off.

Anyhow, I'm seeing A LOT of people on Dallas tonight... I'm figuring its due to the big reverse line movement... But lets not all forget the huge reverse line movement in the Minnesota game... The better team prevailed.

Clippers might not be in a very dire position... But this is a TNT game... Clippers ARE PRIME TIME... Thats what these guys live for.. The big sensational plays. Extremely talented athletes/entertainers.

I'm not sold on the Mavericks and I can't see the Clippers just rolling over for this one.. I guess they have a game tomorrow in which they'll have to travel to. But It's not like they'd overlook this prime time match tonight for a game against the Hornets...

Phixer, Mavin, anyone else have any thoughts on this? I'm sort of torn on this one.

Playoff atmosphere and a must win for the Mavericks. Mavs are averaging 104.4 ppg in March and the Clips are always ready for a shootout. Cliff Paul isn't 100% but IMO will play a nationally televised game...

Gambling 101: A must win for a team doesn't mean jack... How many times has there been a "must win" when the team flat out loses... Happens all the time... it's what separates the men from the boys.

And how many big leads has Dallas blown this year already?

They have one of the worst defenses going up against one of the best...

I'm struggling to see the Dallas angle here... The only reason I can see is the Reverse line movement.. Is that what everyones basing their play on?

Apparently (from reading this thread) The people are only going on Dallas because its a "must win" for them... And the line movement of course...

So lets face it, everyones ponying up their money cause of the line movement. Is there any actual head to head reason why anyone would prefer Dallas in this matchup? Lets get down to the core of this guys

I've seen an odd amount of reverse line movements turn out to backfire in the past month or so. I almost think its Vegas doing it to throw people off due to everyone being aware of RLM now with the internet... Before the days of the internet a lot of people were unaware and would always take the bait

Sure Dallas has been hot... But look at who they're winning against... Lets focus on the Dallas' last few games: They won a very close game against Utah (who has been ICE COLD), They won against an old injured Boston squad(who has been ICE COLD), They lost against a very streaky Brooklyn team by doube digits, They won against the Hawks (who aren't that great), They lost against OKC, Beat the Cavs, Lost against the Spurrs...

They've been playing weak competition... Vegas is using those smoke and mirrors victories to sucker you guys in...

Detroit does not play well vs. west teams as would indicate their record ATS(10-18).Line started at -1.5  detroit at my book and is now at -1 for minnesota.Since Drummond has been out for detroit they have been horrible on defense, while minnesota is no powerhouse I prefer their offense, Pekovic also seems to play well against detroit.

-Timberwolves are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 vs. NBA Central

-Timberwolves are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record.

-Timberwolves are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest

-Timberwolves are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss

-Pistons are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win

-Pistons are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win

i dont really care who is hot and who is not. i only care about vegas lines and public numbers. not saying i go 100% with my formula but i have been 65%+.

we all have our own methology of picking.

Martin has played very well last game, Chandler still out tonight, he'll try to prove his value.
 Garnett out, Lee out, Knicks reach their 5th win streak. 
Boston are unmotivated by all injuries.

I dont focus on trends with all theses injuries.
Just motivation factor//individual skill// team spirit //
And i'm really thinking Knicks are better, despite the road.

Detroit barely squeaked out a win against the worst team in the league in their last game on the road.  And now they are at home where they have one of the worst home records in the NBA.  Minnesota is a vastly improved team with Kirilenko back clogging the paint and Pekovic with some scoring touch down low.  I'm looking for Minnesota to take advantage of an under achieving Detroit team.

If I knew Billups and Paul were playing for sure, I would be siding with the Clippers.  The first few games last time Paul got injured, the Clippers looked lost with Bledsoe at the point.  Good luck with the pick.

Im a little worried about the line moving to 194.0 already in the BOS Celtis/NY Knicks over. Not sure if its still a solid pick, these games often tend to be very close to the line at the end. Any words of encouragement?

And btw just to add for people that are talking about Boston losing because of KG being out: surely this is not the reason if they lose today (which i highly doubt). Green is up for it, he showed some amazing talent against miami few days back. Im sure hes able to step in KGs shoes today too. Boston -2.
