Well, lets not hate AshhyLarrymp... I've been there-where I didn't have a whole lot of money but still gambled on a game I thought would hit and then got all pissed off when it lost... Heck It still happens from time to time now-even with my money management skills...
Sometimes getting angry is a good thing, as it will make us focus/dwell on what went wrong- and make us realize what NOT to do again

Honestly, I'm a little peeved that I lost my T-wolves bet... Not at any cappers or anyone I tailed... Hell no! But for the fact that I think Vegas pulled a fast one on us... It seemed like a classic case of false reverse line movement... They knew that the Bulls would win outright but they drew up some reverse line movement so everyone would lay heavy money on Minnesota.

What do u mean with that? U can be on the right side and still lose - bad beats, but losing the whole game by 10+, and u have a fav -3....what is the wrong play then for you?
The wrong play is an emotional one, one without logic, or one you can't protect yourself on...

I disagree... I think Minnesota was the wrong play tonight... Sure the
Bulls where in a rough spot with the back to back and having to play on
the road... But Minnesotas been pretty brutal...All Year!.... Chicagos
riding off a high from beating one of the best teams in the league...
For me, personally, I feel like I made a stupid bet betting on the
Timberwolves against the Bulls... The Bulls are the better team.
It was really the extreme reverse line movement that sucked me in from the get go... And I felt the line was just begging people to pick the Bulls... But I was relying too much on a lousy, untalented team to win me money... Thats a no-no in my books and I feel that I've learned a lesson.
As a gambler I make NICE money from reading the lines... Sometimes it doesn't work out... It's how it goes...

I don't like this beating around the bushes talk. I can even say that I really don't enjoy doing this with you. What's on your mind? You wanna raise? We'll talk at the end of the month. Right now salary stays the same! -110
I will tell you what I mean on the next bet.
No worries

Yeah, you're probably right... But even the original line seemed like it was just begging for people to take the Wolves... 8/10 the opposite is the way to go... This time it just failed...
Even the finest Cappers in this thread felt the same way... Sometimes you just lose a bet

For anyone interested, Under watch (with playoff implications) was 2-2. Covered by 21.5 in Houston and 21 in OKC. Went over by .5 in Milwaukee and 21.5 in Dallas. In Dallas, I believe they scored 15 points in the last minute and a half.
Dallas has been the hardest team to predict since they struggle defensively, and that's why I left them off today's picks.
Obviously the safest bet is when a strong defensive team is involved.
I can say that a road favorite has only occurred 6 times in the last 2 weeks. They are 2-4 ATS during that period.

OK,so the wrong play and the wrong side is not the same to u?
I think Min was the wrong side. And if u had reasons that supported Min side, after the game u should find them being wrong.
This is meant as constructive talk not bashing.
As a T-wolves backer, I completely agree with you I've only watched Minnesota play live broadcasted like 5 times this year... And they never looked this bad... But man their defense tonight was atrocious... against a team with tired legs to boot...
Lets face it T-wolves backers... WE MESSED UP

Ofc. Sometimes u r just wrong. If it was that easy, everybody would be rich :) Even Vegas doesnt have all the answers, if they had they would ve nailed every spread on one basket, yet they dont :)
Some reasons why i didnt like Min:
- Min shot 53,2% previous game. They r not nearly as good ( +10%). And Chi def is still solid. So this % will fall down.
- everybody talking about B2B. While that si true, they did only play 3 games in previous 8 days and all at home- not exactly brutal.
- Chi owns Min the last few games
line movement was also weird. chi -1 to +3 is a little to much for a rlm.

Come on guys - that was only one play out of many.
It was RLM and nothing like that. More than the Bulls winning - it was the Twoves playing bad from the beginning and actually waking up to late being sure they have the game all set. Accidents happen. Not a big deal. Why so much attention to that game? Just because Phixer and the King had it and lost. They both won their other games tonight. And props to BigUnit for going against the best cappers on Covers and still winning

I appreciate the discussion.
I obviously made money on 2H -5 and 3Q -2 because I never gave up on my reasoning behind the initial pick which for me was the ML -150 (the same price if I bought 2 and put it at -1).
The reason they call it a "gamble" and not a sure thing is because you can't equate for human error. I was on the "wrong side" of the bet, but I would make the play tomorrow given the same constants.
I learned from today the importance of the write-up. It gave me the confidence to execute my protection plan.
I don't have it all figured out, but I know I've become a better capper from the help of the greatest cappers (and people)assembled on Covers, especially Turbo!
Let's keep this thing going Gents. Stay positive and remember, what Mavin created is bigger than one person. It's an ideal that he was kind enough to share and instill in everyone here.
