The big reason we see Cha/Ind totals line climbing is due to the expectation that Roy "All Defense and No Offense" Hibbert is not going to play this evening.  I suspect that if it is announced that Hibbert will be playing tonight the line will drop back down to where it started at 185.5.

I have few questions that I'm afraid are going to annoy some of you and especially you Mr Mavin. What is your motive investing all this time and effort to better few degenerates like myself? What is you gain from all this? I never saw anyone here investing that much time (and evidently - your time must be worth a fortune if you half as intelligent as you sound  here in other areas of your life) for us. There were a few who tried - but either they couldn't stand the heat after becoming popular or had hidden agendas we didn't realize before. You. however not showing any signs of slowing down and I commend you on it. But why? I do have some long shot guesses but they're long shots  - as I said. I expect you to explain us why are doing all that you're doing. Are you an attention female? Answer me damn it! I can't stand the suspense. Inquisitive minds want to know: who the F are you and why the F are doing this??????????????????????????????????

Philly +1 vs Houston

Rockets much better team. But Philly looks good in this spot. Houston playing 4th game in 5 days. Philly has been absolute garbage lately and haven't even been close in recent games. However look at their last 10 games. Opp win %562 and all but 1 on road. Public hates them and it shows. Line on Philly went from +1.5 to +1 despite 65% of action on Rockets. I think this is great value. At worst this is a pick'em. Be with the books on this one.

jimmyray -- I could not have said it better.  This game reminds me of ATL/MIN earlier in the week.  Everything screamed ATL, yet MIN was an easy winner at home.  I like Philly after a long road stretch in the first of four home games, they actually have a winning record at home despite being crap lately.  Philly +1 and Dallas +1.5 for me tonight (2-2 so far).

Washington +2.5 vs Hawks

Adding this to card. Similar to Philly pick above. Atlanta 4th game in 5 days -- and haven't been playing all that well lately. Washington coming off of 4 days rest and a win against OKC. The scheduling in the NBA is seriously a joke to create a mismatch like this.. although the Wizards kinda need it to be competitive. Good luck!

Orlando might be a road warrior, and when they're rested they are dangerous, but when completely fit the Clippers have a solid D, which will see to it that the Magic stays under ~22 points in the first Q at least. As the game wears on, I can see both teams relaxing defensively, but will not bet on the O/U.

The reason I am advocating orderly record posting is the whole algorithm of viewing the card>researching the sources>selecting the games to consider>following the line changes and the researching the reasons for it>applying all the other tools for handicapping as the day of the week, team form, notes from previous plays, officials, checking all the time on lines and public support>selecting the plays>finalizing the plays and posting them>recapping them and taking the notes>posting the record

OVER Pacers 4Q 45.5 - $100 to win $184

The line in this game has jumped from 184.5 to 186.5 in my bookie like for everyone else, but the O/U for the last quarter remained relatively static, going up half a point from 45. I can see both teams going at it in the last quarter if the Bobcats manage to stay within the spread during the rest of the game, and predict a match ending akin to what we saw last night in the Minn vs NOLA game.
