Yea terrible reasoning for pick?? An ice cold team without there best player, losers of 4 straight against a team who had won 3 in a row and was laying -2.5. I'm cursed bad now can't catch a break. Miss and no rebound ball goes out of lbs. 8-20 from three near 50% and can't cover -2.5 because give up 20 offensive boards

damn ive lost 500 last 2 days and i feel shitty since i know im forcing action and betting anything i see infront of me when i itch for action..
whats happening to you is the same except your not itching for action, your itching to get the money you lost back fast.. which is the downfall of alot of gamblers.
more so than betting for action which is also the downfall of gamblers..
i wish you well man.. i hope you do realize you are not thinking right right now.

AT LEAST HE HAD THE BALLS TO LIVE OUT HIS DREAM AND DO IT PUBLICLY.
If you scrutinize him after he has already made it clear he does not want your advice, you're just a bully.
If you claim you fade him and are 8-0 without publicly posting your own picks, you're just a coward.
Just wondering, but does it make you feel better about your own pathetic life to kick a guy while he's already down??
it's no my money I could care less, it just boggles my mind hes throwing around $1,000 a game like its nothing when he has less than $20,000 to his name with no job and betting on a 10-21 team on that

At a minimum he went back to college. It's his screen name for god's sake.
Couldn't tell us much about this GA BC game but by the looks of it, -2.5 has a good chance to be a deciding factor.
And there it is as expected, the 2.5 sinks him.
2.5 means you have to win by three.
These tournament games are famous for buzzer beating shots.
Three is a much bigger number than on its face. Many of these kids are seniors playing the final games of their lives. No matter how bad, no matter what star is out, you can count on many of them to come to play close games leaving it all out on the court.
Unless you have a 8-10 pt win capped, you don't lay 2.5 in these tourney games with middling teams playing each other.
Who knows what you capped and why?
You wrote one sentence about it!
Not sure why I am writing this.
You've listened to nothing thusfar and will continue to do it YOUR WAY.
I would honestly go in the NBA forum and read beginnerboy's write-up for tonight's game. He is a quality capper and can get you out of this abyss.

I think you need to reevaluate your money management. You are betting too much for your bankroll. I understand you need X amount a month to live, etc but you shouldn't throw money management out the window to reach those numbers.
With a 20k bankroll you should be better about 200/game with 600 being close to your max bet. I know that sucks but you will be able to deal with these cold streaks and bad runs and stay int he game long term. This is all about the long term and I think you are more focused on the short term and month to month goals which is the wrong way to look at things. At the end of each month reestablish your bet sized based on 1-3% sizes. 1% should be your standard bet to keep you in the game long term. Thats traditionally what pros use as their base bet.
You need to look at the big picture. Its like baseball. A .300 hitter doesnt hit .300 week in and week out. He will have streaks of hitting .300-400 and streaks of hitting under .200 but in the end he is a .300 hitter.
Right now your risk to ruin will have you broke in a couple months. You have 20 bets if you keep betting 1k a bet. That is insanely awful money management. Its a grind and a marathon not a sprint.
Take a couple days or a week off and get your head clear. Still study games and lines, etc but dont make bets and perfect your craft. Its almost like you are throwing garbage at the wall and hoping it sticks.
You've had success so its not as if you cant pick games. As has been said in this thread you let emotions and the "degenerate" aspect get the best of you. Vegas probably doesnt help your situation either. Im pulling for you to make it but you need to have a drastic change in the way you go about things and the bets you make. Its just the reality of the situation.
If you know how to bartend try getting a gig for 2-3 nights a week. You can pull in a 600-1k a week in tips depending on the spot. You will put in about 30 hours a week but atleast you have some supplemental income and I have a feeling it might be something you would enjoy doing unlike your job you had in Jersery.
Some times the best bet you make is the one you dont place.
GL on the rest of your adventure.
Pulling for you on the VTech game but dont think I could ever take a team that is 1-12 on the road/neutral site games.

Do not chase, calm down, work hard, analyze without emotions. Do not think about winning a bet, think about value. Protect your bakroll, lower stakes, do not bet more than 2,5% on any game (2,5% is very high). You can still recover. Do not force the action.

Because you can't help yourself. He already told you that he didn't want anyone's help a while ago, but that didn't stop your tirade all day yesterday.

He basically admits that CG's not listening to him and asks himself why he even bothers....but he just can't help but give him one more piece of advice at the end.

Scal listen for once... I said now THREE times.... Ga tech had lost 4 in a row... They were without there best player... Bc had won 3 in a row in convincing fashion... Bc shot near 50% from three at 8/20..... Was I supposed to predict 20+ offensive rebounds and 30+ second chance pts by the yellow jackets???? I'm on a bad run so it happens but by no means did I cap the game wrong
