I don't get the hype around Navarro, how is she even a top 10 player she have never won a big tournament only two titles on the tour one 250 where Mertens was #1 seed and recently a 500 event when she was the #1 seed. We saw in AO how far away from IGA she's is for example..
She lost 2-0 against Birell this year and was 54-24 in total last year that's 30% losses, sounds quite high for a #8. Rybakina 24% and Zheng 25%..
Donna is very inconsistent, but I think if they both play their best tennis Donna wins.. Donna is not great on hard but at the same time she is 6-2 H2H against Sabalenka on hard.
I think I will play Donna ML and Cristian ML and probably both HCP as well, I think at least on dog will bark out of them two.

I have been very critical of Navarro for many of the reasons you mentioned. I'd add that the 500 title was a victory over.......Arango. For comparison, Kessler has 3 finals and 2 titles within the last 6 months.
To me Navarro seems to constantly get close to doing something really great but then folds when the pressure gets too great. Like when she beat Gauff at Wimbledon then got boat raced by Paolini next round. Or late last year when she lost to Zhang Shuai then got a waiver to play a 125 event and got knocked out early. The pressure of a 500 final doesn't really count if it's against Arango though. On any given day she can be the best player on the court or the worst, no matter who the opponent is.
Good to see you on Cristian, she has been amazing so far.

before navarro lost to zhang in beijing zhang had beat kessler the day before. before beating kessler, zhang has lost 24 matches in a row. zhang was determined to win her first match in almost a year in a half that night but if you saw the match kessler had a ton of chances to win but flubbed on most of the "important" points. Ive seen cristian look really well before. there was a stretch last year but navarro is more talented. depending on which navarro you get. the one who is able to control from the baseline with topspin forehands and backhands cristian doesnt know what to do with that navarro.

The last person should be critical of is Navarro. Be critical of Paolini and Gauff who seem to be near the end usually and fold up, with both of them having higher expectations than Navarro. Navarro is a fighter. An unbelievable fighter that nobody can count out until the match has ended, no matter the score. I love a player like that. 2024 was a break-out year and 2025 should be special for her. I been banking on Navarro for a year now and nothing but money! Although she cost me at the Aussie Open when I really believed she can take Swiatek to the brink of earth and win.
To be THE MAN, you got to BEAT the man

Yes Navarro is more talented than Cristian. Cristian plays Paolini though. And Paolini is more talented and consistent than Cristian for sure, but she's not 100% right now. Cristian over Paolini tonight. And I think Navarro beats Vekic as well.

right I saw that from yesterday, got caught up in your post and forgot. didnt know navarro wasnt 100% I saw you mention it last match but I didnt really notice an ankle problem although I didnt watch much of the match. I think paolini is more of a problem for cristian than navarro, even better topspin on shots and plays more aggressively and moves better of course. but if she's not 100% as you say we will see.

Vekic broken to love 3 times in a row. Before the third time I thought why not and bet $25 to win $350 on Emma to win to love. Surely not a 4th time coming.

Cristian is getting settled in a bit now but surely Paolini doesn't play as loose as she has for the past few games. Cristian has to be way better. Nerves an issue.
