I would almost never recommend opposing Keys in the middle of one of her heaters. I fully agree with W that she is one to watch for next week. Her current run is reminiscent of her 5 match winning streak in Adelaide right on the heels of her AO title run.
Again, I repeat, I pretty much would never want to fade a flaming hot Keys. But there's just no way in hell you can pass up an opportunity to take Maria on grass 2-0 at +600. Impossible for me to pass that up.
On paper Maria should cause the same kind of problems for Keys that she did for Osta, although maybe not to the same extent. If you need evidence of this simply roll the tape from Maria's 2-0 win in London last year.
Maybe a set 1 play is in the cards as well but need to think on that a bit along with how much I'm gonna go on 2-0. Same story as today, probably not too much value going straight moneyline.

*We are going to bring up the Calde factor again. We hit Maria the play of the day the layup, why continue well we wanted action. Our action was a dog chasing their tail. We had a great day because of early riser, other than that really a waste of time.

Wgomel….I’m going to do a deep dive into tomorrow night’s (Saturday) A’s at Angels game. In my opinion, Angels starter Reid Detmers has been pitching well of late. He is very hard to hit! He has struggled with A’s. That last start against the A’s, I believe is an anomaly. A’s did all their damage in inning (1). Tomorrow night, Detmers will be extra focused to not let that happen again. I was hoping you might see something I don’t. Again, I’m visualizing Detmers to pitch shutdown baseball for 5-6, maybe 7 innings?

The biggest weakness in the original argument is the assumption that because Detmers should be extra focused, he'll pitch better. MLB pitchers are already highly motivated every start. The more predictive factors are his current stuff, command, matchup, and how well Oakland's hitters profile against his arsenal not the expectation of a "bounce-back" mindset.

I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.
