Official (?) RPI 2013 system

Two game three's tomorrow.  Whos thinking two team parlay?  Might help lower risk

To be quite honest I think both could be swept very easily, Yankees put out a terrible excuse for a team today and the A's are headed for the losing streak after a long run of good ball. More leary of Yankees though, 2 more losses would really hurt the system this year.

Two more losses and we call this system dead for the year, but this is the last hooray. 

I agree probably be even to up 5-8 units at best if both lose

Saturday results:

STL wins on B game.

NYY and Oak both lose on B game. C game for both Sunday.

NYY will be a dog again but have CC on the mound vs Weaver. A loss would be a 7 unit loss max. Could be less if you bet less than 1 unit to win 1 unit on the dog.

Oak should be around a -125 to -130 fave with Colon.

Record: 47-3

A: 35-17

B: 9-8

C: 3-3

Positive thoughts for Sunday. We WILL win both these games!

System seems to be having a particular problem with road teams this year. With Sunday's games 6 out of the 8 C games are road teams, with all the losses so far being road teams.

"The Rizz" used to have similar system but he stuck to home teams above .500. I probably will incorporate that going forward. Good luck tomorrow !

maybe play both to win 1 to 1.5 units.. take the losses and distribute them evenly to the next set of games?

just thinking of ways to keep the bankroll in intact...  stay in it for the long run

I'm a big fan of protecting BR. I actually haven't bet any of these games since I've been on vacation. Tried to place a bet yesterday but the sportsbook in Mexico would only take pesos. Just got back tonight so I will place a small amount on both tomorrow.

Does anyone have maybe an wxcel file of all the RPI plays drom last season?

I like the idea of filtering out the road favorites or reducing wagers for those games (How does travel effect a baseball player's mental state?). May produce less action, but may increase overall bankroll and reduce psychological stress .

Another option is to increase wagers and only play B and C games of home teams. Less action, maybe less money made, but reduced risk.

I realize these thoughts stray from the original RPI protocol. They are only added as feedback to fine tune a good system.

cards , braves and dbacks. braves is a 5 game series, cards is 4 game series and dbacks is a 3 gamer. what u guys doing for the braves series ? betting it like a 4 game series or are u gonna do hopefully 3 game a's ?

We have 3 chases starting today - ATL, AZ, STL

Atlanta is 5 game series Mon-Thurs with a double header Tuesday (game 1 Tuesday is Harvey). Don't think we ever encountered a 5 game series before. The official rules state that if in a 4 game series the target team wins the A game, we start a new chase on the remaining 3 games. For a 5 game series, I'm going with the same idea. If ATL wins today we still have 4 games, so the same rules apply. Potential 3 wins out of this series if it falls that way and you want to risk it. We'll see.

STL is a 4 game series so we have a chance for 2 wins here too.

ARZ only has 3 wins in the last 10 games

That doesn't eliminate them as a play. The rules from last year stated that if the lower RPI team (Mia) is playing significantly better than the RPI team (AZ) then skip the series. Miami is 5-5 in last 10, not really significantly better than AZ's 3-7.

So far, two rain delays.  ATL series may drop to a 4 game series after all.
