Love this system. I'm curious as to how you came up with the idea for it and what its original theoretical backing was.
Why do you think the strongest two road teams works?
Is it because favored road teams are considered strong enough to negate any home ice advantage from their opposition?
Or possibly due to the simple math that any 2 teams with roughly 50% odds of winning will both win on average 25% of the time -- so an 8 game chase with positive odds should hit twice from a statistical standpoint?
Or something completely different?
Like I said, just curious as to how you view this system and its impressive record.

Tormiod,
I ran a baseball parlay system that was pretty much the same as this. My thinking was that the odds makers put too much emphasis on the home team and value could be found in away teams.
In baseball I started using the 2 lowest favored road teams. For example Boston -110 and NYY -105 would be the play rather than Cubs -125. Hope that makes sense.
The 8 game chase came about using one of the money management systems used by Tony Stoffo. He has some interesting stuff and worth a read. You should be able to find his free e-book.
Nothing too complicated, just an idea that I had, then back tested to see if it we could win some money.

Nice Win!
So just so I understand clearly, we picked DET tonight at +125 because it was the second best-priced road team right?
Correct. There was only one road fave and Detroit was the closest to a favorite. Worked out tonight.
Was really hoping for an empty netter from Florida. Ugh.

Danrules24 have you done any back testing on the pl system? What will the average losing streak look like?
I have not. The good thing is that these are still small bets. Need to hit one soon to make a profit.

FLA should have been a win on PL last night. If I was a coach and my players could not score on an empty net, the next day would be like in the movie "Miracle" where they skate suicides...."again" "again" "again"
