My suggestion is just don't put the time in towards the simpletons

This is a modified version AS THE TITLE CLEARLY SAYS.
Actually there are filters. If you read through the thread there are 4 filters. I can't remember who posted them but I have them right here for you:
It is very simple. We bet NHL road teams when they go on road trips of at least 3 games. When the team is the favorite, bet moneyline. When the team is the underdog, bet puckline +1.5.
Make A bet, if it loses bet B so you still profit, if it loses bet C so you still profit on the entire series.
Using these filters should work for 09-10:
1. don't play first series of season or last for any team
2. don't play second series of 3 on any road trip
3. play +1.5 whenever available
4. eliminate teams with losing road records once at least 25 games have been played. (At start of year, could use road records from last season but that is iffy).
possible 5. do not play against top 2-3 RPI teams when they are at home

Just void wagers on the teams with the five worst road records starting in December (a stat that can change from day to day) and void bets on the deadline "sellers" after the trade deadline and you should be good. In my backtesting those were probably the two most important filters you can improve the system with while keeping the majority of the system plays in tact. The +1.5 when available and don't play the 2nd three game set of 6+ game road trips are just a given.

Just to clarify...I added the "void bets on the deadline sellers after the trade deadline" on top of the already listed filters myself. I would recommend it to everyone. Even though this would not of improved the system last season, I seriously doubt that will continue. I know I for wont feel comfortable betting on a bunch of teams filled with AHL'ers and missing their value players over the last month and a half of the season.

I was called out by someone telling me there was no filters, but I know I've followed this thread from the beginning and I knew there were filters.
Just don't like some idiot calling me out when I know what I read. So I wanted to clarify to make sure I wasn't losing it!

SLW, I did not call you an idiot. Relax.
I was pointing out that this thread is not the JM NHL thread which would have filters, particularly the conference filter.
And If you want to be really technical, Kong (the originator of this thread and modified system) said at the beginning he was gonna roll with no filters. So on that basis, there are no filters to KONG's MODIFIED NHL system.
Somebody else came in with the filter suggestions, i dont recall who, and added some great filters. Got it from the SBR website, and PSIC.
If it was Kong, then I stand corrected, but I don't think so. Would put 100 on it at +120.
So settle down.
I am playing Columbus in an A game tonight (chasing the away team going on a 3 game series, but only chasing to B game if needed).

This is how I'm playing it
Still waiting on Car gm2
So far I am at 12-1 +7.74 units
(with -11.88 units pending from Car gm 1 loss) Don't want to mislead here
I am dividing that by 2 and adding half of that to the 2 units I am trying to win on the Cbj series
Getting steep here but my units are very small for now so its cool on my end
Remember to utilize wise MM here until the system is fully cooking
Set # 17
Gm 1
Cbj +1.5 / -225 @ Cal 9:35 pm
To win 7.84 units
I am waiting on Car gm2 to win the other 10.68 units
Hopefully these 2 clear and then I can go back and focus on winning 2 units for the next 2 sets
Then back to 1 unit profit goal after this drama
One thing that can throw a wrench into this system is not winning a high % of gm 1's that can have us chase units prolonging the process
At least its a 2 game chase so it will just take longer to get the money back if this keeps up but from what was back tested for about 4 years or so the gm 1 of each series should win about 88 - 91 % of the time without filters. Then Gm 2 about 45 % or so of the time.
Much props to Kong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the MON win I'm 35-0 playing both 3 game home chases and 3 game road chases. There were 2 c bets which both won, if you only play the A and B games you wold have 2 lossses now. Those not playing the teams first series are missing out on alot of $$$$$$$$

Question...if my game 1 line looks like this:
10-10-28-45 and I have two game 1 bets tonight, do I bet to win 55 on both or 55 on one game and 38 on the other? And if I were to win both would I cross out the entire line or just the 10 and 45? Thanks in advance for your help.
Let's keep our fingers crossed for a sweep tonight. I started the system on Saturday and am currently -6+ units.

Hectar, nice of you to get those C wins. Sucks for us to miss out on them. Howver, it is early and a long season. The time will come where you will lose one of those. Lab or Mart, they will hurt. In the end we'll see which route was best.
I'd rather miss that C win, than fret those games, and/or lose them.
Hope you dodge that bullet all year .

You seem to be the most informed person in the thread so I'll ask you. Yesterday was my first play in the system. Obviously lost with Columbus. I'm just betting one unit at $10 a pop til I get the hang of it. I'm a little confused as to where my next couple of bets should go.
