This is a series chase.  If we start betting on Team #1 to win one game out of the series, and they do, then it is a win.

a loss only counts when you lose a c game.    record reflects the series chase win or lose           i agree though because for that kinda record i am down for the month of may.

The one series loss was the Dodgers, thus, one loss.

I would do this too but I must pass as I lost 50% of my BR on LAD.  Not smart to continue to risk more as I could lose all of it.

And if you're interested in how mnay units the system is up or down if you played the above series

Assuming -200 ML on every game just to make the math easy.  If you were betting each game in the series to win your losses back plus 1 unit.  You would be down 5 Units

If you bet only the A and B game of the series to win your losses back plus 1 unit, but only bet 1 unit on C games (i.e. the way B2W says he bets in the beginning of the thread in his google doc) - then you would be up 3 units

Sure thing. We "chase" series.  This means that we bet a certain amount to win the A game.  If A game loses, we bet to win what we lost + what we wanted to win for game B.  If game B loses then we bet A losses + B losses + what we wanna win for C on game C.  As long as one of those games win, you win a unit.  Be careful though as losses cost a lot of $, should they happen.

ok i understand now a bit, are picks listed everyday if there is a play.. and also does it state whether or not its a.. A B or C..

because b games are 10-1

not only was Kemp hurt (joined team on game 2), but Lilly is out too (i'd consider him the 2nd best pitcher they have). I know they were hot coming into the series, but if we stuck to the real, the serious should of been bailed on.

The other interesting note I'd like to share is that Texas fucked us in 2010, KC last year and LAD this year.  All were 4 game series.  I assume if we just would ignore these series, although tempting, we would save ourselves some hassle and $.  Or even if we modify 4 games to pass on game 1 and chase the final 3.  Something to consider as a whole and something I personally plan on implementing.

Yo Matty I apologize if I offended you. That wasn't my intent at all. I was speaking in general terms not specifically about you. There are lots of negative people on these threads and we're not one of them. That's why my other thread has been running for so long because of the quality of people that visit and post on it. So now that you know that I'm hoping we can put this behind us. I'm prone to ramble once in a while that's just my style but don't take it personal. It's all meant to be fun. That's why I wanted to have this Battle Forum so it could be fun and also to shut the big mouths up.

When we talk about the overall record for the system, we are referring to the series wins/losses - not individual wins and losses. We don't care so much if a team loses a game, as long as they don't lose a "series". For us, a win is when a team wins a game in the series. If its a 3 game series, we bet the A game and if we lose, we bet the B game and if we lose, we bet the C game. Same goes for a 4 game series, but we don't play D games, if it gets that far. Generally, if we win an A game, that series is over for us - we won. If we lose the A game and win the B game, that series is done. I had a lot of trouble understanding it at first, but hopefully I explained it in an okay way.

I understand now, thanks for explaining it guys. But just wondering how much are you guys up or down right now ?

And I'm guessing results from previous years have been positive as well ? Only one loss last year I think right and like 85-90 wins.

If we bet the runline when the odds are over -150 then record would be A=9-B=8 C=2  and 1 loss. Yankees won by 1 run against kansas city and then they won by 5 against them the next day. That's the only series that was affected by this so far.

MATTYMEACH- I posted the results in the Battle Forum. You're winning 4-3. The rules are there for everyone to see and I updated them. You can pick any game you want. Baseball is money line or run line. Just post them like you did today and it's cool. Don't let people get to you. I appreciate you being in the first battle. Know what I liked about the Dodgers losing?  It was like Swine Flu.  Killed off the weak and dumb.  Or at least from constantly questioning/ripping on a proven system because they're so damn impatient. 

God I love posting at 420 in the morning.  It's only rants and mean shit.

Allright! We won! Thank God.

GooGotts. I don't post my plays.  I did kiss some a$$ last night though.  9-1. I play mostly dogs. I only play favs when the juice is not outa hand/justified. I even took SD last night. I just liked the matchups. I don't make a bet until the line-ups are posted though. Because if I'm gunna bet on someone, say, CIN, I want to make sure their line-up has sluggers in it. No Votto, no play.
