Too bad about Jersey, they really didn't deserve to win. Was going to post a 'no-play' on tonight's game, but then when it was announced Carter AND Gagne would both be out, you had to think Jersey would put up a great effort at home. I really can't stand either team, so at least I don't have to watch NJ anymore, and Philly will be destroyed by the Capitals in Round 2.
Still a great 1st Round, with just 2 Series remaining. Washington will wrap things up Friday nite, and Pittsburgh on Saturday night.
Was going to make up the Units lost on Jersey, with the Caps Friday night.. but with a -350line, that is a huge bet. Altho I may do this myself, I know not everyone has a bankroll which could handle that. So, even tho I know that would get me back those Jersey Units, I'll recommend a strategy everyone can take advantage of.
If you have played this properly from the start, then you are currently up approx. +7.7Units (minus the Pitt Game A bet tonight). Your bankroll should be able to handle wagering Washington to win +5 Units. That can be the play for Friday night. This will finish the Caps Series with another +2Units and recovering +3Units from the Jersey Series. The other 4.3Units will either be spread out over the weekend, or just scratched. I like playing Chicago and Detroit now, for the remainder of those series.. so depending on the lines, a play could be made.

I got to a point where I was back to even and had to cut out. I just dont have the nads to deal with NHL lines. Ive never seen such heavy favorites in games that appear to be so even when watching. Most of the games I won were by 1 point or in OT. To me, the lines are to out if whack. Is this the norm with hockey or just a 1 year jinx?

Nashville with a huge mistake to let the Hawks off the hook.. nothing wrong with getting lucky once in awhile. Nice finish by the Sharks. Takes a lot of sting out the Washington loss the night prior.

This series is ridiculous, Washington looks like they are playing against a QMJHL team but can't put the puck in the net
Can't explain it.. a great 1st Round Strategy up +12.7Units, wiped out by the best team in the NHL losing to the worst of the 16 Playoff teams
I understand losing 1 game.. but losing 2 of 3 on home ice when they went 30-5-6 all Season
This is why wagering on NHL stinks.. it makes no sense..

this was the point of my first post in this thread. choosing a sport where dogs routinely defeat heavy favroites in 7 game series for this type of chase was a terrible idea.
for people still in this heres the deal, you need to risk 7459 units on washington in game 7. and if they win, you're almost back to even!

It's the Olympics all over again.. Canadian players have all the heart while the Russians, altho talented, have no heart whatsoever. That's why 98% of the time, a Canadian Captain has hoisted Lord Stanley. An American team might win, but it's always because of their Canadian players.
At this point, I think it would be great for Montreal to pull this off. It was very entertaining watching Halak last night. That being said, I still will not be surprised if Washington finally shows up and rolls them 6-1.

I probably won't be playing Game 7, especially at -320.. haven't decided yet.
Tonight's Game 7 should be fun to watch.. would be impressive if Phoenix pulled it out. Since I have Detroit in the Finals tho, I guess I'll make a small wager on them tonight.. I won't be shocked if Phoenix manages to win tho..
