Kreatture's 2010 MLB Playbook

If you read the spreadsheet today you saw that I was pretty happy with last night's Texas result, then very unhappy when I went to update the spreadsheet. somehow managed to put the bet in on just the ML and was cheering for that 1-0 lead to hold up right til the end!
So the bank account is happy, but the spreadsheet has been reflected to show the loss. Don't worry tho, the plan to get that $$ back for those who lost, will be added into the Detroit double header tomorrow. No worries.

Brilliant performance by Halladay last night, as expected, and Ross Gload who had a career .375 avg. vs. Cook got the big home run leading us to an easy win. Today we're making the call on the Red Sox, rather than the Yankees. Let's hope the run of capping the 2 games and making the better choice keeps going!

Tigers stink it up in the early game blowing numerous chances. Good news on the line for Game 2 at least, it's dropped a lot.

It took the Tigers 17 innings to finally get a lead today, but they came through in the end. The Rangers finished the week by holding off the Angels 9th inning rally to end things nicely.
Another solid week gaining +16.06 Units and now +37.89 Units to start the 2nd Half. Recovery from the Texas Massacre will obviously be slow, but we'll do the best we can. Now sitting with +22.24 Units Overall for the Season. A far cry from the +100 we would be at if Texas had just.. well you know. I'm still pulling for them to win the West.

No Top 7 Home Teams today, but there will be 3 Official Plays starting Tuesday. Tonight, we just get to watch a bird fight.. unfortunately neither bird has very sharp claws!

We're approaching the hottest part of the Season where we will finally see the Contenders step up their game and make their run, and the Pretenders start to make mistakes and fade away.
We're primed to take full advantage of this and also make our own run as Contenders.
We're all over some runline plays tonight, and confident about all of them. We're going to continue to pound Colorado all week as I expect them to go on a run right now. And Philadelphia has clawed their way into the Top 7 Home Team. I thought they were a miserable team?? No, wait.. I wasn't the one who said that. The defending NL Champs are still the champs until someone officially takes that title from them, and they won't go down without a fight!

I hope you're right. What worries me, is that this is the same team that coming out of the break loses 2/3 to ATL, sweeps the Reds, then loses 3/4 to the Cubs, and loses 3/4 to the Cards.

They just swept colorado. i hope they break their short term trend, and don't shit the bed this week at home.

BOL, and I'm on it too.

I think they just need to survive August until Utley returns. If they can stay in contention another few weeks, then I believe they will make another serious run. Happ is a great young arm, and if he stays healthy now, it'll really help.

Whatever happens with the Trade Deadline is gonna be crucial, too.
If they can add another arm, they will be extremely tough to beat in a short series.
Carpenter/Wainwright vs Halladay/??? is shaping up to be one helluva Championship Series!

Wow, I am surprised you like Happ that much. He came up small last year in the playoffs. Yeah he had a good regular season record, but look at the teams he had all of his wins against. All sub 500 non-playoff teams if i recall.

We will see, I hope he steps up.

Plays are on the spreadsheet.. pretty busy week ahead, will try to keep on top of things. I don't suspect anyone is following this anymore, since it's been pretty quiet here, but we'll follow through to the end of the Season and see where things stand. Sitting at +35.74 Units right now. Hoping to still eclipse the 75 Unit mark, but that would require no more losses for the season. we'll see how it goes.

Off to see SALT.. Angelina Jolie on the big screen, gotta love it!

I said on Monday this was going to be a tough week for the Yankees and Cardinals, so I'm not surprised to be facing 2 Game 3's today. And I'll be surprised to come out of today with both wins.

For the Top 7 Home Team..

Spreadsheets are complete for Thursday action, and the match-ups are there for Friday, as well. There is only one Official Play this weekend, but a few Unofficial Series. If I have time to break these series down before Friday night, I will update what my plan is and how many Units I'll be playing for.

Bummer Padilla just lost his no-hitter on the 1st batter I watched in the 7th.. figures. I said coming out of the All-Star Break on the spreadsheet I knew there was something wrong with the Dodgers, cuz I know my favorite team better than any others. I said they would be lucky if they played .500 ball the next 2 weeks.. well they were a few games under, as expected.
LA likely won't be fitting into any System plays soon, but I am going to be riding them for the next couple weeks. The pick-up of Lilly and Dotel were huge, and the offense is finally getting healthy. Expect them to make their run in the West now.

The blitz is the shit. I might scrap everything next year and just play everything on the blitz...

I said the same thing last year. Why tinker with everything else when the RLB does so damn well?

Received a job offer for Sales Manager with a good company in Calgary last night.. then had the best 1st date of my life. Things are going pretty good right now.. finally.
The Criss-Cross Blitz keeps on rolling out Winners, and the Top 7 Home Team should hopefully be back into plus Units by the end of the weekend. Good Luck.
