i can attest to todays play for BucBacker. As it stand right now with Utah up 28-17 with under 10 mins to go in the game. BucBacker is on pace for a profitable day with 2 out of 3. Missed on Texas Tech, hit with Kentucky and hit with Utah(which should hold up barring a catastrophe). Congrats on the profitable day BucBacker! I'll take 66% any day.

Buc, I have really enjoyed this thread and I congratulate you on some of your successes!  I urge you to continue posting and keep in mind that this is a community to talk about wagering and strategy.  Of course you will always get the occasional D-bag that wants to post negative things just to get their number of posts up....yes, there are some out there.  Anyways, I do commend you for taking the time to share your strategy with us....winning or losing, still very thoughtful to share.  It will never make sense to me why people would bash such a notion like this.  Here is a guy that may have a solid strategy to share who could very easily keep it to himself.  This is why I think a lot of successful cappers out there dont share their successful strategies because they probably feel its a wasted time because most dont have much to contribute except negative lashings.  Anyways, I again thank you for your thoughtfulness.  Always ignore the haters!  No need at ALL to respond!

Hey AXL thanks for the post, nice to get a little nod from someone after the continual blasting.  Yep it was an ugly stretch and I didn't get many lucky bounces.  I have no problem with the critics or the bashes...but when a guy goes to the extremes of taking on 3-4 alias' (plus another just starting!) and it is SO OBVIOUS, kinda takes any fun out of it. Have to feel sorry for a guy that doesn't know me from Adam, yet is so obsessed with ruining a thread that he makes a total fool of himself annd keeps coming back for more with another ID!  Just have the kind of temperament where I can't ignore the assholes...wish I could but I can't!  Guess it's no wonder alot of guys don't stick around long.  Thanks again for the post and BOL to you...really appreciate the kind words..

BCS CHAMPIONSHIP--with the Buckeyes and Golden Hurricane profitably in the books, here's our Bowl Grand finale.  Again, we're throwing the stats and scores aside and looking for the motivational and intangible factors that we've seen work for--and against--us this wild Bowl schedule.  First and foremost...who wants to be here?  Seriously, don't think that's gonna work like maybe it did with Utah..Buckeyes..Northwestern..and a few others.  But then again..who knows...

First and foremost, Bob "BIG GAME" Stoops is happy to be here.  Decimated by West Va last year and Boise in '06, the monkey's on the back!  But really, how tough was it to get "up" for a game with WV after Pitt had just upset that applecart.  And Boise...like Texas this year, OU felt they belonged in this BIG game!  As great as Urban Mayer is, he hardly has a stellar Bowl record; yes he beat OSU 2 yrs ago, but let MICH upset them last year and struggled (31-24) vs. a so-so Iowa team the previous year.  And bottom line here..a win in this game gets STOOPS a CONTRACTUAL BONUS of $$ 1/4 MILL...yep...QUARTER MILL!!

OU has had quite a while to read about a FLORIDA DEFENSE that has put up some impressive (6th in Nation) stats.  Forget about it.  Gators do not have 1 Senior on their 2-DEEP DEPTH CHART!  No Texas, Texas Techs, no Mizzou's, no OK St's in those Def stats.  Face it, Auburn-Tenn-GA-SCar-Vandy-Kent'y hardly the offensive juggernauts to measure a defense by.  Measure them after this game!  And look for OU Defense to come in here with a chip-on-their-shoulder and rise to the occasion.  And make Tebow beat them with his arm; and take a look at where OU "D" finished the season in opponent "Sacks" (2nd)...WAY ahead of FLA.  OU has (like OREGON did) an all-senior OL that goes 337,330,304,290, 285.  FL Def-line are ALL under-classmen and go 250,290,300,305.  Think OU wins that Match-up!!  OU Receivers are 6'5" TE and wide-outs 6'6" and 6'0"; FL Corners are 5'10" and 5"11" with Safety's 5'9" and 6'0".  Like that match-up too, when you've got a Heisman winner who reports say has had his best week of practice ever.

All week we've heard about Gator speed.  And yes by God they've got it.  But OU has some of their own.  Everyone said Texas speed would kill OSU; we saw what happened...no factor!  ONE THING EVERY HANDICAPPER IS OVERLOOKING HERE:  how many games heve been played on this field in the last ten days!!  Seriously, put a pencil to it...and if you watched the last two, Orange Bowl and the Dolphin/Raven games you know this turf isn't in the greatest shape..how easily does bad turf neutralize speed?

OU definitely needs to improve on kick-off and punt coverage or yes, they'll be in major problem.  If Stoops is in reality "Big Game" Bob, and with a month to dissect those problems, gotta believe he'll find an answer.  Whether betting football or basketball...it has always been profitable to take the points anytime a #1 team plays a #2 team...regardless where the game, when the game.  Think the public is really on the Tebow-Mayer bandwagon here and getting caught in the hype and flashbacks to the '06 Game with OSU.  Just can't see Sam Bradford laying an egg like Troy Smith did.  Or Stoops...and a QUARTER MILL...being as conservative as a Jim Tressel was.  A bunch of Seniors in Red that got their bubble busted two years running and now getting a fistful of points from a team with only 17 seniors on the roster.  FLA definitely a great team, maybe more raw talent than any team in the country.  But we'll take the match-ups, the intangibles, and the points!!

Buc, i appreciate the postings. this was an entertaining thread. i think its important to point out that you claim to have spent 50+ hours working on your system and expect to hit 75% of your plays. First of all, 75% is pretty ambitious for any capper. Secondly, 50+ hours of work on a system is just the tip of the iceberg for any type of system you come up with. Many cappers in here have spent years honing their skill of capping. Handicappers must constantly learn and change their techniques and the studying never ends for a true capper.

 

Im sure there is some merit to your system and I encourage you to continue to work on it and never be satisfied with its results. Coming out and claiming to accept no better than 75% when you actually hit 35% is biting off more than you can chew.

SpecialK--thanks for the note and I take to heart all you say.  As I admitted earlier, an absolute nightmare this Bowl season after legitimately going 18-6 (and 5-3 "lean only") ATS last Bowl season.  Whether to blame bad bounces, new rule changes, or just bad frickin luck...or a bad flaw in our System...anyway you look at it, sucked!  As to the 50+ hours...that my friend was just in the initial run-thru stages of one set of the parameters we enter; by the time the first game actually kicked-off, considerably more than those 50+!!  The fellow that developed this...was demoralized with LAST year's 18-6 results, actually saw no reason to even lose the 6 games we lost.  So he tweaked and added, looking for improvement...and now is so analytically puzzled with how frickin rotten this year's went, that he's already picking his brain; has already thrown-out 1 of 2 situational angles that he added this year, added another,  and has made two "weight" adjustments on a pair of the major rushing criteria we use.  And he'll continue to play with it, tweak it, and hopefully get it back on track.  As you stated, the studying never ceases.  As far as the 75%...yes we totally expected it.  And had no reason to think we wouldn't hit it.  Based on last year and what we thought were a couple of strong (we thought) changes we added (and shit-canned after this fiasco!) we had nothing but optimism going into this year's Games.  I can only say that knowing the "master"/developer as I do, he'll come up with whatever those tweaks and solutions are..to overcome the flaws that bit our ass this year!  He's got too much at stake with this and too much self-pride to let it get the better of him!  Thanks again...
