Riv,
The original TOPVRPI actually came from trials in the NHL, with moderate success i decided to try to roll it out in MLB a few years back. In the NHL there tends to be a bit more more action, with a new topVRPI almost everyday due to the fact they are not playing series like in MLB. The juice tends to be low and played on the Labby works really well. In the NHL i still play a "no play" if the same team qualifies after winning previously.
In MLB betting a few of the highest diffs, i cant see anything wrong with, as well "double dipping" after a win, why not. After this season i will certainly go back and see what results would be if we were to take the top 2 VRPI's....maybe some good results? I only try to limit the amount of plays to limit my risk as I diversify with a few systems in the hope each profits to make it a nice year. I got into trouble in the past when the systems would spit out 8-10 plays a day.
Glad to hear your BR is growing using a few of these strategies.
