HIGH DRAMA IN THE BATTLE FORUM!

Battle Forum VI has turned into a Telenovela (That's those Hispanic Soap Operas for those not in the know) Crush has gone 5-0 and has gained 500 points to do the unthinkable. He's trying to steal DDG9's spot and leave Teelocke on the outside looking in like a jilted bride. But wait there's more. Here comes Phillyfan like a SWAT team on a hostage rescue. Phillyfan is blazing his way into the picture and chaos is reigning in the Battle Forum. We have 4 Gladiators fighting for one spot as we head into the final games of the day. Don't forget we have the night game with Washington and Cubs. That game could decide this epic 4 way battle.

TEELOCKE TAKES THE FINAL SPOT!

It was the most dramatic finish arguably in Battle Forum history. It was even crazier than the finish we had in Battle Forum IV. Teelocke secured the final spot literally on one swing of the bat by PH David Bote. Bote hit a Grand Slam with 2 strikes and 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. That Grand Slam allowed Teelocke to leapfrog over 3 Gladiators to take the 8th and final spot to advance to the next round. Teelocke went 7-1 on the day and gained 600 points. She literally went from Last Place to the 8th spot in one week. What a fantastic job.

The night went to Teelocke because Crush took Washington, DDG9 had Washington and the Over. Phillyfan had Washington and the Under. So if Bote didn't hit the HR Phillyfan would have indeed took the 8th and final spot. But what these Gladiators didn't realize was that the lone lady Gladiator was a step ahead of them. Teelocke didn't even pick the Washington-Cubs game. She had already maxed out on her picks and that was a good thing because she didn't have to make that difficult choice. So the Battle Forum Gods shined on Teelocke and now she will face Atlanta in a head to head battle to see which Gladiator will advance to the Quarterfinals. Congratulations to Teelocke!

ATLANTA VS TEELOCKE

Wild Card Round action as these two Gladiators face off. Atlanta takes on Teelocke. Atlanta started off slow but steadied the ship and is now back in the Playoffs. His pedigree is unquestionably good. He will battle Teelocke who has made it to the 2nd Round in the most thrilling fashion in Battle Forum history. Can she keep the magic going facing a battle tested Gladiator like Atlanta? We will certainly find out as this battle begins today and ends on Sunday. The winner will face the Champ Mondo and the loser will be eliminated and hear crickets. Good Luck to both Gladiators. Remember the rules, 21 picks minimum. This is the Battle Forum.

ATLANTA INFLICTS SOME DAMAGE

Atlanta wasted no time in giving Teelocke some body blows. It was the first time in this battle that Teelocke is actually being tested. As we approach Day 4 in this Wild Card battle Atlanta realizes that he can't afford to let Teelocke get to far ahead in points, especially with the crowd decidedly in her favor. Teelocke will look to respond today as this battle is really close now. Will the crowd spur her on or will the pressure that Atlanta is putting on her be too much for this Gladiator to handle. We will find out right here in the Battle Forum.

  ATLANTA SHOCKS TEELOCKE!

It was another night of drama in the Battle Forum as Atlanta and Teelocke's battle came down to the last game. This was all possible because Atlanta staged an incredible comeback. Atlanta was down by 436 points to start the day but his capping skills was on point as he reeled off 5 wins against only 1 loss heading into the night game. Meanwhile Teelocke was 2-1 and trying to hold on to her slim lead. It was a perfect storm of drama as Atlanta took the Mets and Over while Teelocke took Philadelphia and the Under. The Mets pulled out the victory and with that victory Atlanta advances to the Quarterfinals with one of the best comebacks since Crush broke Smoothd's heart in Battle Forum I.

For Teelocke it was a bitter pill to swallow. Her fans were dejected at this sudden turn of events but Teelocke can hold her head high. She is a definite force in the Battle Forum and has blazed the way for future female Gladiators. Now Atlanta will take on the 2 time Battle Forum Champ Mondo. That will be a great battle for sure. 

Oh what a great Semifinal battle this will be as we have the Champ Mondo taking on Sixbankz in a epic matchup. Sixbankz is one of those Gladiators hitting at a 68% clip just like his son Taylorallstars. We could see a Father-Son clash in the Championship match. But not so fast my friend. If Sixbankz wants to make it to the Finals he will have to go through the Champ Mondo. Mondo has fought many high profile battles and this is really Sixbankz first time in the spotlight. How will this battle turn out? Well we know that both of these Gladiators are capable of hot runs. Mondo's run in Battle Forum V where he defeated the reigning Champ Masterone in a no rules Tournament is what legends are made of. He dedicated that Championship to his late friend Irisheyez who was also a great Gladiator. The emotion of Battle Forum V may not still be there but the drive for greatness resides in our current Champ. It will take an extraordinary effort from SixBankz to defeat him. We look forward to the Battle right here in the Battle Forum. The best contest on Covers. 

  Centralflaguy will battle Taylorsallstars in what should be an exciting Semifinal matchup here in the Battle Forum. CFG is a protege of the Masterone style of battling while Taylor is a sharpshooter. The action may be a little slow in this one but it's going to be intense. Can CFG afford to sit back and wait while Taylor continues his hot streak. Taylor is 12-2 in his last 14 picks. That is something that CFG will have to consider if he's going to sit back and wait. On the flip side Taylor has to keep up his sharp shooting ways because falling behind CFG early plays right into his hands. So it's going to be an interesting battle between these two Gladiators who are in the Semifinals for the 1st time. 

It's time to say goodbye to some noteworthy Gladiators who fell in the Quarterfinals. We lost 3 ex Champs in Atlanta, Upset City, and Masterone. All performed nobly but fell short in their respective battles. We also lost Grambus who has been in several high profile battles and is a respected Gladiator. All of you have made this Tournament what it is today. We know we will see you in future Battle Forums. Swords up for these legendary Gladiators.

Sixbankz continues his incredible pace posting yet another positive day. Sixbankz gained 100 points yesterday. Sixbankz has the Champ on the ropes at this point as Mondo hasn't gained any ground since last Thursday. Mondo is facing one of his toughest battles since becoming the Battle Forum Champ. He will have to figure out a way to overcome Sixbankz sharpshooting style if he wants to advance to the Championship Round.

  Both Gladiators posted triple digit gains on the same day for the first time in this battle. CFG was finally able to make a decent gain as he went 3-1 and gained 170 points. Taylor rebounded from a losing day on Monday to gain 200 points when he went 2-0. This battle is heating up as we enter the final 5 days.

TAYLORALLSTARS DEFEATS CENTRALFLAGUY

Taylorsallstars defeated CFG as CFG had his worst day of the Tournament losing 569 points by going 1-5. It was a bitter end for CFG who fought a great battle. Taylor went 4-3 and only lost 3 points. It was enough thanks to CFG's meltdown to put Taylor in the Championship Battle against his Dad SixBankz.  Congratulations to Taylor.

THEY LAID IT ALL OUT!

What a classic battle between Sixbankz and Mondo. Both Gladiators went all out and laid it all on the line. Sixbankz once again kept up his amazing sharp shooting. He finished the battle going a perfect 6-0 and picking up 656 points. It was definitely needed as Mondo went 4-0 and picked up 671 points. Mondo went down like a true Gladiator fighting till the very end. But it was Sixbankz's sharp shooting that was too much for Mondo to overcome. As the last day of the battle came down to the Sunday night game Mondo went with St. Louis and the Under but so did Sixbankz thus nullifying Mondo's bid to make a last minute steal. Nevertheless it was a classic battle and one of the highest scoring Battles in recent memory. Sixbankz will now advance to the Championship Match to face his son Taylor.

                TAYLOR IS IN CONTROL

Taylorsallstars continues his amazing run in the Battle Forum and now he's beating up his old man. Sixbankz doesn't know what has hit him as Taylor continues to pour on the points with a slow steady stream like a leaky faucet. Meanwhile Sixbankz is taking on water. He did slow the sinking a little today by finally posting a positive day but when you compare Sixbankz'x 85 points and Taylors 347, well you get the picture. The bottomline for this Championship Battle as we head into the first weekend is that Sixbankz will need to pick up the pace and find his groove he had earlier. If he doesn't this Battle could be over before we hit the next weekend.

One lesson we can learn from Cappers that wait a long time between picks is that by doing that your choices become limited. In other words you might pass up on a dozen good bets by waiting to pick on the last eligible day. It's something to keep in mind when you guys have your own long streaks.

WE HAVE DRAMA NOW!

The Championship Round has been a snooze fest up until now. Taylorsallstars has gone winless this week while Sixbankz has suddenly got hot. Taylor has lost 529 points in 2 days and has given up most of his big lead. Now Sixbankz is starting to smell blood in the water and is gaining ground. This Championship Battle might just be exciting afterall. So hold on to your swords boys and girls and don't change the channel. We just may have a fight on our hands.

The Battle Forum Championship is going to come down to the last day. Taylor has put together 2 solid days to take the lead from Sixbankz. Taylor went 5-2 the last two days for a 343 point gain. Meanwhile Sixbankz went conservative going 2-1 and only gaining 100 points. Now this battle comes down to the last day just like the N.L. races. Can Sixbankz pull a rabbit out of the hat? Will Taylor hold on to win the Championship and the coveted Battle Forum Trophy? This Father-Son battle will be a nailbiter no doubt as both Gladiators will empty the tank. The Battle Forum crowd will be raucous no doubt. This is the day we crown a new Champion right here in the Battle Forum.

SIXBANKZ  WINS BATTLE FORUM TITLE!

Sixbankz entered the day trailing Taylorsallstars by 180 points. He decided to go All-In and he maxed out on his picks. Meanwhile Taylor decided to stay idle. It was a decision he would regret. Sixbankz went 6-2 today but he didn't do it without some drama. The score was tied at 322 apiece when Sixbankz had the San Diego Padres. The Padres tied the game up in the bottom of the 9th and then won it on a Walk-Off hit in the 10th. That dramatic win was the clincher for Sixbankz as he squeaked by Taylorsallstars for the win and the Battle Forum Championship. Sixbankz gained 280 points on the day and that was enough to overcome Taylor's lead. Congratulations to Sixbankz on winning the Battle Forum Championship!
