The hate between Seattle and San Francisco is real. The Seahawks have decided to only sale tickets to people who live in the Northwest plus Hawaii. They will not sale tickets to California. Of course San Francisco fans are besides themselves because they're not used to being out snobbed.
Since I have lived in the Bay Area and now reside in the Pacific Northwest I have insight into this rivalry. You have to understand that the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest are not your typical West Coast demographics. These people are very passionate about all of their sports. San Francisco and Seattle are just as passionate if not more than Philly, New York or Boston. We just don't get the attention out here that East Coast cities do.
It's more than Football it's cultural. The cities have alot in common. Both are snobby although it's hard to be more snobby than San Francisco but Seattle has made great strides in the snob area in the last decade or so. Both cities are Financial Powerhouses on the West Coast. The Bay Area with Silicon Valley and Seattle with Microsoft and other tech companies who either started there or relocated.
When Seattle started booming back in the 90's the resentment level for Californians moving to Seattle and driving up the prices was very high. Now those same Californians and their 2nd Generation kids have adopted the anti California sentiment of the natives.
From the San Francisco perspective. They're just not used to being looked down upon and certainly don't want to think Seattle should even be mentioned in the same conversation with San Francisco. They're used to hating LA and their neighbors across the Bay Oakland. For San Francisco to be the target of hate just doesn't sit well with them.
Let's not forget the Coaches don't like each other and Pete Carroll being at USC and Harbaugh being at Stanford brings up the whole Northern Cal vs Southern Cal rivalry which is intense by itself. These Coaches have brought that hate to this rivalry which has filtered to the players. The fans love it because of the cultural rivalry that already exist between Seattle and San Francisco.
Both cities are very environmentally conscious, politically liberal, with a very active arts scene. I would say that a major part of this rivalry is the fact that these cities and areas have more in common and mirror each other quite a bit. Just my take on this rivalry as it is no doubt the most intense rivalry in the NFL for the last 3 years and will continue to only heat up in the years to come.

ok listen to me tried this free contest for eons i maen every year i was so close to hotv 17 straighht with 15 wins 16 wins but sure enough got screwed by covers switching lines when i made picks up on fav down on dog more than once it happend
THEY do not go buy real bettors in survior soon as too many on one side in any game your locked out!
YOUR better off actual betting to win only 10 staright games
as i do every year in every sports and win way more than than $1000
looks at this 17 straight real wagers model small bets
1st game $10 win next game $15 WIN your now +25$ next game $20 Win +45$ next game $25 WIN +$70 after 5 --#5 bet $30 WIN +$100 #7 bet $35 Win +$135 #8 bet $40 win +$175 #9 Bet $45 Win +215$ #10 bet $50 Win +$265 #11 Bet $60 Win +$345 #12 bet $80 Win +$425 #13 bet $90 Win +$515 #14 bet $100 Win +$615 #15 bet $150 Win +$965 #16 bet $175Win +$1060 #17 bet $100 +$1180
I have done this many times but it was $50 start adding $25 each time in sports book + the juice to win full amount but you do not have to you risk what you want to win less
$50 wins $45risk $75 wins $67.50 etc..
folow the wiseguys rules no more than 5% of total bankroll on any one game YOU will always collect and never be in red every year
of course you have to handicap each game on your own learn from your losses as i have done write down the mstakes you made there is always a reason why you lost a bet
most time the spread in NFL for season only losses 19% of the time that is when a fav wins by less than the spread creating a push or ATS loss
always go aginst the hype that is player or team has record winning performance vs one team next game will be a profile correction ATS 100% of the time vs a team thats still playing not towel tossing season like Tampa bay has done this year and before when they dumped the season last 9 games 0-8 ATS and s/u
there are consiten bad bets in NFL Browns Bills Titans Jaguars every year 6-10 ats or worse
Thanks Doc! That's some great info and not the typical "double your bet" info that we have all heard a million times. Sounds like you have a solid strategy for making consistent money.

The numbers say Mich. St should easily cover but then again it does feel like a setup. That's why I didn't put it on my Streak but I feel it's a solid bet. Also the line is trending towards Mich.St with the spread now at -5.5. So we will see. I try to look at solid trends from recent games and meetings. Good Luck with that Streak! Keep riding!

Great minds think alike. There is quite a few of us on the leader board going with Tampa-Toronto Over 5.5. Public Consensus is 71% and experts have it at 77%. I'm already on it for my Survivor pick. My reasons are Tampa has gone Over the total 4 games in a row. Toronto has gone Over the total 7 games in a row and the last 3 meetings between these teams they have scored 7,6, and 6 goals combined respectively. I expect another shootout in Toronto tonight.

This is nothing. You should have seen my Avatars before Covers put the Kabosh on all the nice Avatars. They had to clean it up because they said the Advertisers were complaining. The problem I had was the policy was handed out very unevenly. Some people got in trouble for pics like myself that weren't even showing any body parts while others who had full blown breasts, butts and everything else showing remained unpunished. It was crazy but at any rate that's the story of the Avatars on Covers. I still maintain my women were tastefully pictured.

SmoothD repelled again by those villains protecting Captown! This time we fell short by 1 goal. Tampa had many opportunities to score but could only manage 2 goals. Wow!
