Yeah both Cleveland and Pittsburgh have faltered in the 2nd Half the last few years. I will give the Pirates credit for upgrading their pitching staff which is something that Cleveland hasn't done. You're most likely correct Plisskin that Cleveland is a great candidate for fading down the stretch.

The 2nd game of the DH between the Giants and the Red will be played with the Reds as the home team even though the game is in SF. Currently the Reds are winning Gm.1 8-2 in the 7th. I expect the Reds to win this game. As we know DH sweeps are rare therefore the play for today would the Giants in the 2nd game of the DH and Zito will be on the mound. Good Luck!

He seems to have the streaks right now but still hasn't totaled the win/loss columns right--- b-ball either---both those pools have mistakes,I even 'phoned covers, 1st time I've done that !

I'm at 3, but what do you guys think about the cubs tonight being as they lost 1st 1/2 of double-header this morning---can I get some advice before game starts ( and ,yes, I know about their rep. as streak killers, but 4 is not that high and didn't smooth post some stats about 2nd halves of double-headers just a few days ago?). help please

Yes and they would have AGAIN---I,m with you today though, but don't think I could double-up bets all the way to ten---in fact there is no place to even bet where I am right now ( north of Swan River MB ) so I'm opening an account at Pinnacle ( actually I'm getting my partner to, as my account is pretty shaky at the local co-op here 'til I start winning somethingI'm glad you laid off that, T99.... I want to start a post on some strategies for the Streak Survivor. It's time we put our minds together and start putting together some serious streaks. There have only been a couple of serious streaks this year. My definition of serious is anything over 17. My goal is to hit 21 for that $25K mark and then set my eyes on the big one. Please post any systems or ideas that you have to help the other players on the site build up serious streaks.

Hate to post twice in a row , but cannot find a SS pick for today---the 1st of a new month yet --- was thinking Jays/Angels over 8, even St. Louis again, or Seattle with Hernandez vs Dempster under 8.5. Just a reminder it's the Central and Eastern Time Zone teams playing in the Pacific Time Zone. CEPP play for Friday is the L.A. Angels over Toronto. Take it and let's get this party started.
