Yes a member named Tuppy actually won the $100,000 back in 2007. After that 25 wins has been required to win the money. In 2011 a member named MC2010 won $25,000 when he reached 21 wins. Numerous others have come close only to fall short of the big money. You can click on the "All Stars" tab to find all the highest streaks recorded on Covers.

The CEPP theory is in play today with 2 games Mets At SF and Bos at Sea. Both games are very tricky but if you're playing this angle I would recommend going with Seattle because the M's get up for Hernandez.
I'm personally going with the Over in the Bos-Sea game because I expect both teams to tee off on the opposing teams Ace. Good Luck $25 Dime Club!

interesting theory SmoothD.
I have a mini-project I'm doing on 5th inning ML bets.
took some background work but its hitting 58% with this theory.
excluding Giants and Marlins b/c they are just bad on 5th inning games. 
doesn't happen everyday.. but got 2 picks..
7/8 White Sox and Padres 5th inning ML... let's see how this works.

I don't ever remember 2 streaks that high picking opposite.
well if you look at the all stars section in Streak Survivor...10 have streaks of 20 or more... only 4 have more than 21.... so that means 6 has lost on their 21st try. (40%)
redrum42 has been a Covers member for a long time so he knows how difficult it is to get this high.
he is basically betting 25K on this game.
I hope he hedges in case he loses... he does get $1K for now.

I hate to hedge but last year on that last day for Survivor Monthly... I had to hedge and I wish I lost but it wasn't a total loss at least.... for redrum its basically a $25K bet.

Covers amazing streak. Of the 7 players to reach W20 since Tuppy's epic win back in 2007 only 2 members have successfully made it to W21 and that was mc2010 back in 2011 and jcoby the same year. Even more incredible of the 27 members who have reached a W18 since Tuppy's run only those 2 have made it to W21. That is a incredible 25-2 in favor of Covers. That is a .925 winning pct in favor of Covers. Amazing.
