I'm happy to see some good San Diego people officially take over the team from those cheap bastards that owned it previously. As I have ranted on here a few times. Owners that are cheap and have no interest in civic pride and winning need to get out of sports. There's plenty of money to be made elsewhere in the business. Owning a team should be about one and one thing only...Winning. If you don't want to win then please sell the team. It took some real San Diego folks along with LA people to rescue that franchise. The players have responded by winning. Now the spotlight should be on those crooks that own the Marlins. Pittsburgh has been spared for the moment because they're winning. Let's hope the McClatchy boys who live in Sacramento by the way don't start using their "brains" and sell off players like they have in the past.
