There must have been some Luck blowing in the air last night, because Smooth ended 'the slump'.
The luck blew eastward and to the south, as well, because I had an incredible 22-9-1 (70.97%) record on all Covers picks last night; (mostly College Basketball), that translated to +5,900 in Covers Contest dinero. Last night's run allowed me to regain one of my lost red stars. Nice to see you again, Red! The last time that I had posted on here, I had two and a half red stars. Since then, it has been a long descent that saw me lose them, followed by a mighty uphill struggle just to get one of them back. One down and four to go!
At one point last night, I looked in and my record was a stunning 10-1 on the early games. The irony is that the one loss at that point happened to be my Streak Survivor pick. Thanks for nothing Orlando! That picked sucked everyone in because Atlanta was injured beyond belief and coming in off of a blowout loss. Orlando was at full strength and coming off of a blowout win.
I still don't know what the hell happened...lol. I am just glad that I was at L1, having lost my Streak O' Five the previous night with the Michigan State Spartans non-cover.
Tonight, it is Loyola Maryland -3.5 to start afresh.

Today on Survivor the number has jumped to 113. That's a huge jump in the number. I think the books realized they made a serious overlay. Meanwhile Bovada hasn't even posted a totals number on this game. I'm going to check out the Covers sportsbook page and see what the story is there. But this is usually a situation where you can make serious money from my experience.

Smooth,both teams are terrible on offense,but do play some good defense. I wasn't shocked when I saw it at 110 overnight. I think if you bet it over now you missed the boat.

Last years game had 291 points (which would have even been over
this amount), 2010 had 280 (Over the 262.5 Total for that season but
Under if this years Total were used), and in 2009 the game went just
Over the 263 Total with 265 points and a dunk at the end gave over the
win. But if this years Total were used that game would be way Under.
I know there is no defense but that is a 15.5 point increase on last
years total of 268. In a season that started late (due to lockout) has
had a shortage of games in which 100+ are scored by either team in that
game (granted those aren't absolute defenseless like an All Star game)
why such a big increase? Does Vegas want Under to win because Under
hasn't won in a while (the entire time I've been on covers) or is this
years All Star game going to be the highest scoring one yet?

Vector ruined the honesty route so you will have to pay $100 in advance to the guy that organizes the league. I have been playing with these guys for 4 years so everything is legit. Booyahz plays with us and so does Edwardglenn in football. Lots of fun, trash talking is consistent. So let me know we usually have a full league for baseball.

As much as I like Manhattan -3.5, I just couldn't pull the trigger. I pored over some of the games last night to get a SS pick, and I could not ignore the feeling that Loyola-Maryland has been the monkey on the Jaspers backs. I really hope that changes today! My gut tells me that Manhattan will show up big timefor their last home game.

I first saw it at -2 and almost picked it and then shortly after that Cal went upt o -2.5. I had 2.5 on my screen and did like five more minutes of research only to find that it locked me in at -3 when I hit submit. It is now 2.5 and has held steadily there for all day. It shouldn't matter, though, because I see Cal running away in this one. It makes for a good SFTC pick, too, I think.
I also like Fairfield -2.5
