That was classic World Series game last night! I feel for Texas. I'm rooting for them because that was the first baseball game I saw in person when I was a kid. My Mom took me to a Washington Senators-Minnesota Twins game. Final score Twins 2 Senators 1. If they're any oldtimers or baseball historians then you know that the Rangers came from DC and they were called the Senators. They moved to Texas in 1972.

I have taken an extended break from posting, myself, due to my struggles in the contests this month. I need my MoJo back! I am picking at at a .500 clip in October and am a dismal 13-14 this month in Streak Survivor. I just felt that I had nothing to offer until I get out of this slump. I will post again, but my picks will carry a one half to a one star weight. No more four star plays for a while from me!

I have been dealing with some major life issues concerning my family recently and haven't been on the site much. I just wanted to thank you guys for carrying the torch in my absence. Congrats to the Cardinals! I have never really liked Tony La Russa for a variety of reasons but I always give credit where credit is due. I tip my hat to La Russa and go on record as saying I have a new found appreciation and respect for your managerial skills. You sir have done what no other Manager has ever done and you should be commended. That was an excellent job. From a Yankee fan that appreciates greatness that was one for the books!
