Strange decisions by the Aussie coach. Lost them the game.
@dallasm
If you dont have a striker who can get you a goal when you need it its tough to win. They have 1 own goal their last 3 games. That says it all!

They’ll say it was “analytics”. Why, why and WHY tf would you do that? Common sense is a thing if the past. Bonehead decision and that’s a well deserved result. Absolutely amazed at these idiots who try to reinvent the wheel. Not enough pressure going into PEN’s, let’s bring in a guy who’s been on his ass for the last 2hrs and have him hold it down. And as for the strikers, you just absolutely can’t kick it over the box…yeah, I know, they were aiming for the upper corners but damn…after one miss (and of course the first PK) you gotta adjust your thought process a bit. It’s the WC for God Sakes!!

@NyJetropolitan
Yes sir. Not that kids fault. But the first penalty kicker
had one of the worst kicks you will ever see.

Also very confused and I'm not sure the coach will have an answer other than he thought he was the smartest guy in the stadium, which he clearly is not. I don't care taking a loss, I still feel it was a really great play we were right there and penalties is usually being more lucky than even good, but today the coach took the element of luck and replaced it with his own narcissism. It cost the Australians the game (though they will say they had opportunities all throughout but we all watched that game) and most likely the coach his job.
AUSTRALIA TO ADVANCE (+130) ![]()
I already posted the other play as a push but didn't record it. The record is now updated below with both games.
UPDATED RECORD: 123-79-8 (BIG PLAY: 44-24-6)
I am going to add a play on the Argentina game.

ARGENTINA -2 (-135): No idea how this doesn't happen. For one, we all think Argentina will win the game. They will. Secondly, Argentina have won each of their last seven World Cup games against African opposition. So there is Argentina winning by one. That surely could be the final result but it's a small price to pay at -2 and with the total juiced to the OVER 2.5 yet also juiced to the UNDER 3.5, it appears they are expecting a 2-1 type of win. But I can see 3-0 as I do not think Argentina, as professional as they are, will be unprepared. They also will have loads of possession. With a top lineup in and loads of talent on the bench, I just see too much value even in dropping 2 goals at -135 with Argentina on the field.
LAUTARO MARTINEZ ANYTIME GOALSCORER (+110): THIS IS A REGULAR TIME PLAY ONLY. No reason to take the extra frame as 1) I don't obviously think it will get to that and 2) He would have already been subbed out by then. But this guy has every bit the ability to score and with Messi also feeding passes he is extremely likely to end up on the end of one of them.

His play is -2. If they win by 2 it’s a push and his bet is void and he gets his wager back.
They gotta win by 3 or more for him to win.

Guys, I'm going out to get in my pool..
Two plays, ARG FH (posted earlier) BIG PLAY and ARG -2 FG. They win by 2 it's a push, so yes they need to win by 3. It's a calculated play as a push is very likely but the Argentinian defense have not given up goals and so if that holds true here, and they keep possession, they should have a very good chance to get 3 themselves. And I know Cape Verde is no pushover either but Argentina are going to be ready for this game, unlike Spain in their opening game.
