 It’s a meaningless game for both the United States and Turkey.

Yes, I understand Turkey hasn’t scored a goal yet, but they’re already eliminated because of the new World Cup tiebreak rules, where head-to-head results take priority. Since Turkey lost to both Australia and Paraguay, they have no path to advance.

That means Turkey is officially eliminated, regardless of what happens against the United States.

You guys are right I'm out and about and was trying to be responsive but they are fully out.  The USA is the group winner.  I just feel like the U.S. based players will want to come out and show up, especially those that haven't played much.  

ZERO way that Pulisic doesn't play, not sure if he starts, but he can't be dormant for 3 weeks and then expect to be a big contributor.  So long as he touches the field, there will be a very strong chance that we score.  Certainly they will not be stating any of the guys on a yellow card and risk them missing the next match (A. Robinson, Balogun, Adams) so that will give chances to others.

Oh, and the USA got punished by Turkey some months ago when they played so a real revenge factor.

Guess it didn’t, what’s the point. Could have gone completely different have that penalty been called, not saying it should or shouldn’t have just never know. Hope you won, keep practicing the violin, it’s a beautiful instrument 

Longshot but Virgil VanDijk is a +450 anytime goal scorer.  That's INSANE considering how much he's involved with goal scoring opps especially set pieces like corners, which Tunisia gives up a lot.  And, the Tunisians are not a big team.  Might be worth a flyer.

I actually also parlayed it with the U.S./Turkey YES BTTS that is juiced highly but for good reason.

damn that was quick goal

Should be a few more albeit off the Dutch players not the Tunisian ones.  I've seen these early starts end up slowly pacing out so wont' get too excited but a second here in the 1st half should position us very well to get the TT.  And I'd love to not have to worry about weather in the second half.

And a second.  I'll take a third too.  I also played over 3.5 goals as a "why not" so that pays great if it hits.  But for now would love some scoring in the other game as well.  

We need some goals in Japan Sweden

Feeling like we are taking a loss on this sweden game. Japan is tidy in 2nd. Sweden 4 pts has a chance to move on

Looks as though Netherlands has taken foot off the gas......how motivated are they to score at this point after the quick 2-0?

 Not meaningless but only four 3rd place teams are out so sweden at thid point could be solid. Japan is solid in 2nd if this holds

Agree these teams want to tie I think if anything japan will push for a win Sweden has zero today we will need some halftime adjustments. 

Seems as if Sweden is trying to avoid playing Brazil… only to be matched up against France/Norway

 Weve had games wake up in the 2nd half so will see but yeah sweden looks awful

Don’t fool yourself guys the Dutch are NOT playing well even if they have two. Just very lethargic and overconfident. They play like this vs Morocco they will be heading home. 

I'm not giving up on japan/sweden scoring just yet. Many times a snoozer FH is followed by an exciting 2nd half.
