This is my thread so I'm going to take a moment to vent about last nights game. I owe everyone an apology because I had typed in Paraguay to win as my play at +270 but then did the classic overthinking. The reason I thought Paraguay could win was because I was one of the few who truly believed Turkey was overrated coming into the tournament. And seeing how putrid they were in the first game, I asked myself could they repeat that type of ineptness against a very good Paraguayan defense that was exposed by the USA. I finally overthought to myself no, they won't, they must at least score one goal.
Then I started to consider posting Paraguay as a Tie or No Bet which was fetching +180, and I changed to play to that. Finally, I thought to myself, well if you believe Paraguay will win or tie, then unless Turkey puts up another doughnut, which would be shocking, then both teams must score. Plus many people won't even have the play for Draw or No bet. And that's how I came to that backwards decision, though yes, Turkey should have scored they deserve to go home can't even score with a man advantage for over 60 minutes that's truly time to reconsider where you think your country's soccer/football program must be.
So you all must have felt the same elation when the Paraguayans got a goal in the fist two minutes but, much like the Moroccans, the game ended in the most frustrating of fashion. That won't happen again today, and at least not in this first game. I have another DK offer on a "Drawbreaker" play and I have gone 3 for 3 winning these, and I am taking it again here but I am also squarely on the Dutch.
Sweden had an incredible coming out party but to be honest, Tunisia is not the Netherlands. And the Netherlands were frustrated by the Japanese who, in my opinion, are better than the Swedes. Being both these teams are European they have similar styles of play and a lot of familiarity with one another. The issue for me is the gap in talent, where the Dutch are much better.

TOURNAMENT: 50-19 (BIG PLAY: 17-5)

My post got cut off not trying to increase page views just trying to post the plays so here is what got cut:
Since the new format of this tournament allows the top 3 teams to advance, the Swedes will know even a loss here can get them through and, strangely, they could even group with some incredible luck. But finishing second is much more realistic (with a loss) and the Netherlands look to set a new record for the longest run of games at the tournament without defeat excluding penalty shootouts since they lost the 2010 final (W8, D5). Lineups were just released...
NETHERLANDS (-140)...BIG PLAY!!!: The Netherlands have been playing pretty well of late, but have also seen a few more draws than they would like imo. The one common opponent both teams played was Norway, and the Dutch beat them while the Swedes took the loss. That was during a time when many players were still coming into form so this play is based on what I foresee TODAY's lineups to yield.
BRIAN BROBBEY ANYTIME GOALSCORER (+185): This is a bit of a longshot but the formation has totally changed and he is the talisman instead of Malen who will be working on the wings. I think this is a genius move by the coach to stretch the Swedish defense and create more opportunities, even though the Dutch did score 2 goals. Brobbey has had a really solid season this year scoring goals and I think he could be a sneaky good choice here to find the back of the net with some long odds.
BTTS is juiced super high and I can see a scenario where once again this early start time yields another low scoring game. My view is there is much more of a chance that this game ends something like 2-0 for the Dutch than 3-1 or even 1-1. But anything can happen and there are loads of other games left too.
One fun parlay I just played...: Netherlands (-140), OVER 2.5 (Germany/Ivory Coast) -170, Ecuador FH (-215) and Japan (-190) = +508
Hoping to get off to a good start as we have the past couple days. There are loads of opportunities to cash and loads to also lose, it's all about picking the spots. Let's keep things rolling and, as always, tail or fade, good luck to all....

I’m fading BTTS now. It’s been hit at an extremely high rate, very inconstant with that international football typically is…..as we move into final year table placements teams top teams will be focusing on structure I imagine heading into knockouts and weaker match ups by default will produce goals for the fav inevitable. You won’t see a Spain showing like that again.

Ok but Spain was also no on BTTS and I think they are a little too highly rated personally. Strangely I think Brazil forms get enough attention. So…anything is possible after the cupcakes are gone

Why crazy? I’ve said in all forums this is my sport and I post and then nobody follows figured I’d try again with World Cup maybe more people will see the profits to be made in soccer.
Funny thing is he scored as I predicted and I will pat myself on the back for that one. But I didn’t even see it bc I was talking to someone at the gym!!!
But another early winner and another cash for anytime goal scorer. I think we are 6 for 6 or 7 for 7 with that play? Anyone keeping track?
