So...I took off my France jersey at halftime.  Completely confused as to the showing in the first half.  I all but wrote these plays off as losses.  But then I went outside and had a smoke (not cigarettes)....and it dawned on me.  I'm otherwise having a really really great start to the day and I also had thought about taking france FH but I know how they often play I the FH and didn't, so that's technically a win.  I started to smile.  Then I thought well France can get a couple of goals and Senegal had come close, so who knows, maybe they will shock me.  Not to mention I had my own play on France OVER 2.5 goals at +200.  But I didn't imagine that ending.

Only thing I regret is not taking Mbappe anytime goalscorer he was oddly even, that won't be there ever again.  So some cash lost.  And I as I stated in the write up I couldn't actually post the OVER 1.5 for France since the line had moved so much.  But we still have this parlay upcoming and I can see some goals in this game as well, just hoping Haaland is on the end of one of them (I also think Sorloth as anytime goalscorer could be sneaky good).

Anyways, I told you all I had a SMASHER for France and I'd make yesterday up.  Glad it worked out that way, it certainly wasnt' how I drew it up, but it worked.  And what about the Mbappe flute blowing celebration?!?  Hard to not like the guy.

You all are welcome, just not sure everyone's attitude for paying juice on plays, so some of them I don't make official b/c of the price.  Anyways, on to the next, hoping to keep the mojo going.

Already have the live parlay with Erling Haaland anytime goalscorer so I'm not posting that.  But I this game pits a team that has been rolling and scoring at will against a team that was the last to qualify for this cup and had a massive 21 game haul just to do that!  They've had a lot of disruptions but we also don't know their side at all so that makes it hard to handicap.  They somehow tied Spain but I'm not sure they will be a surprise to a Norwegian side that has a lot of firepower and are a very, very disciplined squad.  I expect them to be focused and my only hesitation is that Iraq doesn't play many high scoring games so I think I will sit out the total for this game until I see the Nordic side's performance.

NORWAY FH (-170)...BIG PLAY!!!:  Take some of those France winnings and just dont' think twice about the price you will have to pay for this win.  After all, it will be over in less than an hour after it starts.  They just tied Morocco in their last WC warmup and have scored 6 of their 7 goals in WC play after half-time but this is just another type of Norway team.  They have Haaland, Sorloth, Ryerson, Odegaard, Hough, etc...this will just be too much for Iraq and I think they will want to come out strong and claim the lead as they know the later it will get, the more nervy it will get.  I know they are a favorite as a dark horse and I buy into them much more than I did Ecuador.  The best scenario would be to get Haaland to score that FH goal but regardless if that goal comes for Norway, I'll be a happy camper (so long as they dont' allow Iraq to answer of course).

I feel like I'm searching for more and I can't find it, so not going to force it.  Of course I think Norway rolls but to pay -155 for a 2 goal win I think is a far worse proposition than to pay 170 for a FH win and not have to worry about a comeback or anything of the sorts.  And again, just not sure about Iraq or I'd be all over the BTTS.  The OVER 2.5 is also heavily juiced so I thought to try a stab at the under, but dont' want to kick myself today.  So that's all on this game but I definitely will be back for Messi time and then a big play.  As always, tail or fade, good luck to all...

Wow this is getting silly...let's have them hold on (which they will) then bang out 4 units total back when Argentina wins as well.  I also played a parlay today with all the favorites but this one somehow still had me on shaky ground.  But they can't take that goal away from Haaland!!!

I think I might have had a couple of heart attacks near the end of the half.  I wasn't expecting that but I did say that Iraq was tougher than given credit for.  Sheesh after the 2nd half of France and the 1st half of this I might have to take the rest of the game off!  And to think I was considering betting BTTS I'm feeling good about things right about now.

I have a really big parlay tied to Argentina as the final leg.  So you know who I think will win there.  Here are a couple more I personally like.

MESSI ANYTIME GOALSCORER (+110):  As mentioned above, 20 years ago today Messi scored his firs WC goal.  On this anniversary and his final World Cup it would be of little to no surprise if he does so again.  Not to mention he takes their penalties.

ARGENTINA FH (+110):  Ok, I get it, this game will most likely be lower scoring but maybe it won't.  NO feel on the total but if the FH over is juiced to -250 OVER and the game is between Argentina and Algeria, then my money will go squarely on Argentina to be the ones scoring that first goal.  Could it be like in the Norway game where we can win the FH and get Messi his goal?  We shall soon see.

I have a big play on the next game and really like where I'm at currently during this tournament.  Strong start, but many games left, including the often disappointing English tomorrow and I'll be eager to watch and see what Portugal can do.  For now, as always, tail or fade, good luck to all...

Any idea why the line dropped? Opened at Argentina-275. I got it at -220 this morning. Currently -185. Looking at lineups that doesn’t make much sense.

I thought the same thing and it reminded me of what happened the other day with I think it was Switzerland. That didn’t end well. Could be they are trying to get people to overthink NOT taking Argentina bc everyone is on them. Algeria is a decent side but yeah this should be more like -285. Of course irs soccer and refs have been known to get paid for results lol.
