The difference between the WC and this event is the WC had a much deeper field in relation to this tournament's field. Thus the WC was never far away from delivering an upset result (there was never ever any extended run of results of favorite domination at any stage, group or knockouts), whereas at this event has so far 11 favorites have won SU in 14 games (only 1 draw, just 1 draw in 14 games). The upset results will really start accruing when the chaff has been eliminated and only the wheat is left in the knockout phase. Of course the way the fixture list has been organized means most of the 3rd group matches will involve the best 2 teams in the groups, so there'll be a few more upsets just before the knockouts start.
