There is a really good video on youtube I watched the other night with Michael Franzese he was a soldier in the Columbo crime family he outlines how they get these guys to rig games, they get a guy who loves to gamble gives them all this credit and when they can't pay up they get scared to death and basically do what they say apparently this hapened to a RB for the Jets years ago (acording to him) and he basically got himself in over his head to the point where they told him to fumble the ball and he did so.

It happens alot.  The MMA shit is even worse I think.  I stopped betting MMA when a guy that CLEARLY won got hosed on a judges score card well now we know that judge was probably paid off.
