 Yes, the crime rate is insane in pretty much all major/mid California cities. The punishments aren’t enough. All violent criminals should be doing hard labor in prison, as they do in Russia—60-70 hour weeks, in the extreme cold or heat. I bet the crime rate would drop drastically, if they were actually punished for all the crimes they commit. Russian prisoners almost all do hard labor. Which is a great idea! But in California, criminals have more rights than law abiding, tax paying people. It’s sad.
