same here , friends moved there , they say the same
many Americans making this move to retire there , a nice house right off the ocean / beach doesn't break the bank (yet) , kind of Winter in Portugal , Summer in LA scenario down the road

agree , build a house and rent it out to Americans for top dollars
i have good connections , wife's sisters husband is from El Salvador , a huge clan , they have good connections over there when it comes to finding properties , how to get them , permits , building etc
