 Middlesbrough vs West Bromwich

This season, both teams have started pretty well; Middlesbrough has beaten everyone, while West Brom has failed once. If the current trend persists, the outcome could be decisive, particularly as Boro aims to leverage their home advantage against West Brom, winning 3 out of the last 4 matches.  

These clubs have also historically scored extremely few goals when facing each other.  

Five of the last six head-to-head meetings have all ended with less than 2.5 goals.

VfB Stuttgart vs FC St. Pauli

With three games played, no losses, and seven points already, St. Pauli has been something of a revelation this season. Their dedication to one another is what most impresses me. This team has a lot of grit. Even in situations where the flow isn’t quite there, they manage to claw their way to results by pressing as a team and digging in when things get messy.  

Stuttgart? Their results so far have been somewhat unpredictable.  

It’s not terrible, but it’s definitely not operating at full capacity. They lost Woltemade to Newcastle, which negatively impacted their performance, resulting in a lack of the same advantage up front as they had in the previous season; additionally, Undav’s status remains uncertain. Their overall sharpness isn’t the same.  

In my opinion, St. Pauli has gone ten games without losing (including friendlies), and they have a resilient spirit that the oddsmakers don’t seem to recognize. To be honest, I wouldn’t be shocked if they came away from this with at least one point.

Rio Ave FC vs FC Porto

So far this season, Porto has excelled; they have won all five of their games, scored 12 goals, and conceded just one, largely due to the strong defense of the Polish duo of Kiwior and Bednarek.  

Rio Ave, on the other hand, are winless so far with three draws and one loss, and their biggest issue is their leaky defense with nine conceded goals in just 4 matches.  

This suggests that Porto is likely to outscore their opponents, and a victory for them appears to be the most probable outcome.
