Tennessee at Detroit (11/27/2008)

leaning under now....

My early lean on this game is the Lions at +11.  I know they Lions are winless but....they've played harder in the last few weeks.  I think the Titans will win this game but....on Thanksgiving day with a home field advantage and being on Nataional television I think the Lions get the cover here.

I don't have the stats, but I believe Detroit has a good record of covering the line on Thanksgiving. 11 is a lot of points, even if they do suck.

The NFL has turned into an over league in the last few weeks..........don't lay it......don't try to take it.........just go over........if Tenn plays great......they could get there by them selves.........if Detroit becomes inspired........then it's a twenty something to twenty something game.......either way.......pound the over.

The angry Titans are gonna pound the ball.. then they are gonna pound it some more.

 

They learned last week that relying on Collins is not the recipe for success.

 

So they are gonna pound the rock down the 32nd-defense-against-the-run Detroit's throat until both White and Chris Johnson pass-out from exhaustion.

 

The Lions will try to shoot it out with the only weapon they have, Megatron Johnson.

 

Only problem is that the man pulling the trigger is Culpepper, who was let go by the Dolphins ( who aquired Pennington from the Jets ( who aquired Favre from the Packers ( who replaced him with Rogers..)))

 

In other words, he is not consistent nor reliable. The Titans Defense shoud have a field day.

The biggest exposure Daunte Culpepper gets so far this year and since playing last in Miami. Look for that corny ass dance when he rolls his forearms in a cirlce after scoring. Detroit loses again, Tenn finds a way to get back in the game with a last minute scoring drive to win by anywheres from 3-7 points. DOME DOME DOME. LOW SCORING GAME.

 

 

SHOULDNT THIS LINE BE LARGER THAN DALLAS GIVING 12.5-13 TO SEA CHICKENS?  yOU WILL KNOW WHY WHEN THE GAME ENDS!!

 

 

I like the fact of runnning to run the clock, but if they run too much then they will score too much. I'm thinking wonderful field position for the Titans ALL game long. That and if the D puts up a score of its own, an under isn't lookin too good anymore.

All i wanted to do was show up at my parents house with their nice big flatscreen and yell at it.

Now i think i've second guessed myself out of both the spread and the total....

Nuff said.  I think the majority of posters in here are thinking, Titans are going to unload on Detoit to take out their frustrations.  Is it me? or is this Titans team starting to look alike like the 2000 Baltimore Ravens that won in Jan 2001 with a Dominant D?  Titans D may not be as good as theirs but it's pretty Dominant.  Tenn is so much better than Detroit...Kerry Collins could throw 3 picks have a qb rating of 45.3 and Tenn would still win with just the running game alone.  I'm thinking that Tenn may be in a position to barely cover.  I just couldn't imagine spoiling my Thanksgiving holiday hoping and praying for Detroit to make this game competive.  Because that's exactly what you would be doing is hoping and praying.  For some reason I see Tenn just getting their running game going and eating up the clock.  I'm not sure if a Dominant running game necessarily translates into points. I'm thinking this game will go over 44, but I wouldn't lay $$$ on it.  Public money is on Tenn for a reason.  Have a happy thanksgiving and don't be the turkey that comes on the wrong end of this game.

No way Lions stay in this game. Titans thought the refs robbed them last week against the Jets they will not leave it up to the Refs in this one. Final score Titans 38 Lions 13.
