- Dominek Hixon will step in for Plaxico and have a breakout performance (that one isn't a fact, but my opinion - guy is nasty and will fit right in running the #1 WR routes)

Allow me to retort; I have some issues with your comments

And I want you to look it up. When was the last time the Seahawks were beaten by the Giants by 7 points? Please provide this information in detail for the thread.

As far as Hixon is concerned, how do you know what he will do on the field as a starter? How many games has he started? What are his habits during the week? He is a variable and should be treated as such until proven otherwise.

I may have been a few miles off on locationof teir first East Coast trip, but you get my drift.

and not having plax is HUGE..... it just brings less focus to that side of the field, whether he gets his touches or not

I don't want to downplay Plax being out, but not only is HIxon ready to show the world what he's made of, but the Giants have one of the deepest receiving cores in the NFL.

Good point on the HIxon as a starter thing...I have no idea what he does during the week, i just hope its cooler than what Travis Henry does!!!  But really he is a guy that just looks like he's been waiting for this.

As far as your question when the Giants have beaten them by more than 7 points?  I think that is irrelavent.  The Seahawks have regressed greatly in the last couple years and the Giants are better.  I think the better question would be around the ATS numbers if you want to look at the histories don't you think?

If i can use an exaggerated analogy, I compare that to saying something along the lines of:

"I'm not betting Dallas (-18) this weekend because whens the last time they beat the Bengals by 18 points?"

Because things change every year I can't go by the spreads for the past, only how they did ATS.  Does that make sense?

Giants winning was most def a fluke in every sense of the word. They should have never made it past the Boys. They were not the best team in any of the games they won in the playoffs with the exception of Tampa. What they did have was momentum and hunger that was unmatched. They got hot at the right time and were largely overlooked by their opponents also allowing them to continue there roll. With all that being said the best team did not win (as in a fluke) those games but the most deserving did.

disclaimer: I am die hard Cowboy fan and my first post would have to be on this subject. But im also a huge football fan and follow the entire sport. If you look at at quality of opponents you realize why outside of g women fans they are not considered the best team even in there own conf. thats fresh off a SB win and 3-0 record

i totally agree with the last sentence!  the Giants stumbled upon a real sleeper with Hixon... Toomer is a stud and a veteran, but this game has the potential to create a tough decision for the Giants going forward, because i believe Hixon is a more potent weapon already...

we'll see...

And for the record i hate the giants ... but i love football not saying they wont win this game thought a small play on the ML might not be a bad thing ... but i don't see them covering. I'm also not saying they aren't a good team, but best team hands down is a definite no

I would lean towards the UNDER here over anything else.  The Giants have yet to establish the running game this season, and with the Seahawks defense, you need to do that.  It's looking like a windy day in the Northeast tomorrow, and with the "weapons" these two quarterbacks have to go to, it's not gonna be very high scoring.

UNDER 43.5

Prediction:  Giants  21   Hawks  14

jjmandi,

Maybe you're missing something here. You failed to answer the question and that is not lost on me. You have to look at the ats mark of Seattle against the Giants, because you did not point out for the thread the ats record of Seattle against the spread. Palin avoided answering questions and got by because everyone thaought she looked good on camera, but you don't have that luxury, because you asked for it when you paraphrased my words.

When I saw that I asked you to allow me to retort. And then I made a direct inquiry and you failed to answer the question with a credible answer, instead referring to how you can't use past ats numbers in this case. Nice sidestep. Now I am asking you again, when was the last time that the Giants beat the Seahawks by more than 7 points? Please inform the thread as to when that has happened.

With all that was said on this board, no one has been able to come up with a game wherein the Giants beat Seattle by more than a touchdown. This is amazing. Yet the board is full of people taking the Giants-7. The wagering world will never cease to amaze me.

NYG -6.5

I agree with most of the posts on NYG, but the point that one made about the time zone difference is indeed the difference in this one...Its like you getting up at 10 or 11am and playing Pro-Football (very Difficult) Plus, this is Holmgrens last year, and with a record of 1-2,  losing to San Fran, a declining O-line and a Division (-STL) that is getting better, In ''My Opinion" San Fran or AZ goes to the Playoffs this year, not the Hawks.

Burres is a factor, but they have enough guys who can catch the ball. Dont look at the cinci game and think these guys are bad...Cinci was hungry and Palmer is the 3rd/4th best QB in the league...NY Pulls it off, Big.

Hawks go 1-3 Tomorrow and NYG goes 4-0

Sagarin ratings have the giants winning by nearly 19 points and the line opened at +9.5 and quickly dropped to +7 with a majority of the public on NYG... sneaky sneaky... i like seattle plus the hook +7.5 points...

SU, the home team is dominant in this series.  I don't see that trend changing here.

But I think it will be NYG by a field goal.

Giants are terrible after a bye week. They always have a hard time adjusting for some reason. I expect some drop balls and it will hurt them not to have burress you'll see.
Seattle 1st half.
small on seattle money line.

Im a giant fan too...LOL
