Elite and Proven are two different things- to be elite you have to match up with the greats- Some consider Elite 1-5 others 1-10 if CK wants to start getting there he needs to first be proven and that starts tomorrow with a win and then potential SB win although if the Pats win I doubt that will happen for him this year. Thats what I meant to say-

I'll take points at home for ATL... Once they escaped last week and ended that 1st round playoff drought,I have complete confidence that they will rise to the occasion and move on to SB...

At first glance I was leaning ATL +4.5 at home due to it being a conference championship home game and because SF has given up over 27pts a game since week 10 on the road....AND Atlanta has only given up an average of 13.5 points at home since week 10....

THEN I looked at all of Atlanta's opponents since week 10... New Orleans twice, Arizona, Tampa Bay twice, Carolina, NYG, & Detroit.

Of those teams not one of them had a legit defense for 2012 ( except for maybe Arizona )... They barely beat Oakland, Carolina, Dallas & Arizona at home... by a combined 16 POINTS!!

There is an absolute REASON why Vegas has not favored a road team by 4.5 points in over a decade!

SF wins by a Touchdown.... and thats after Matt Ryan comes from behind to score one late.

On a side note, its proven that Flacco can play on the road in the playoffs..even against NE. I don't think it happens this time around - especially after the last overtime game on the road and now back to back road games .... too much for Balt to handle. Buy NEW ENGLAND TO -6.5 !!!!!!!!

Last time I checked the games will be decided on the field. And its home field advantage. IF SF wins it will be a close game and if ATL wins like I think, it will be a bowout.

fwiw In 12 championship round games where the home team was an underdog, the road favorite is 7-5 ATS and SU, Atlanta as the largest home underdog by any #1 seed since 1978, and the largest home underdog for any team in a championship game since 1978.

I thought for sure the public would be all over the 9ers but looking around Covers there is a masive amount of ATL love. I was leaning ATL but i dont see how i can bet with the Covers public. good luck today gents and go Bears!

Atlanta is easily the most overrated team in the NFL ( followed by a close Dallas second)

Don't be fooled into thinking they are going anywhere in these playoffs. Even when they win, it's by a lucky break and less then 3 pts. Seattle win run all over the weak D and keep it close and most likely win

Seattle gets in done and wins outright today. Take the points for EZ money if you want a sure thing

Lets see. SF lost to seattle by 29. Going west to east coast. Starting a rookie first time on the road playoff game. Playing a team who is the number one seed, 8-1 at home and SF is giving 4 points. SF gets crushed. End of story.

Lots of question marks in this game.How will a rookie with a game(SUPERBOWL) away from what he dreamed about as a kid in the backyard,an inconsistant niners team,will the falcons choke(they can win this game folks don't fool yourselves) if they don't choke and freeze up.For my money its the Falcons in a parley with Baltimore of 6.5 for 700.00 and a return of 650.00.NCAA basketball was very,very good to me this weekend so Im gonna use 700.00 of 2500.00 I won.GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

1)Atlanta got the monkey of their back.

2)We all saw how flat Seattle was last week after traveling east.

3)niners are a mirror image of Seattle in terms of personnel and style of play on offense so the falcons have basically been game planning for this for 3 weeks now.

4)Atlanta's d actually matches up well w the niners bc they play more zone. They should be able to keep CK in front of them.

5)either take Matty ice at home or pass on the game
