after that 2nd half today, how can anyone be excited about taking the Falcons, even as a home team dog?  wow, what a meltdown.

SF -3.5 (1.5u) - Atlanta entered the brackets as a false #1 seed, confirmed by their second half melt down, SF rated #3 vs Falcon's #25 on Sagarin's SoS rating, better niner D, unique offensive threat with Kaep altho still prone to mistakes, better coach, visiting the dome which has lost it's impregnable luster this year, and being battle tested on the Road (thinking of the Patriot game)...i'm siding with the niners.

Falcons won't have an answer for Kapernick and the multi dimensional offense, plus the 49er defense. I still it going over in the dome

i am a falcons fan, and i am not sure if the falcons will beat the niners ,  but you say how can anyone be excited because they barely beat the seahawks  ,  just remember a couple weeks ago the 49ers  got blown out by the seahawks, the niners arent always at the top  of their game.

You know nobody expected NY to beat the Niners last year except for us Giants fans, but then again Kaepernick wasn't playing. I believe this guy is the difference maker.

However, I do feel that ATL can score over the top of the SF defense... they know they can't just march down the field against SF defense and will not be able to run like they did last week... but Seattles corners are much better so they should look to the air early and often.....

I expect a high scoring game....

49ers -3.5 ... don't think too hard about this one folks.... Kaepernick looks like an Olympic sprinter and will get lots of attention from Falcons D in the box, thus freeing up the deep ball for Crabtree, Moss, and Davis. I know Seattle had a good D, but 49ers are better all around on D.

Niner fan here. I was an Alex Smith fan to start but I love what Kaepernick is doing. Niner defense has me a little bit concered now because they have given up more than 30 points a game on defense in 3 out of the last 4 games withstanding a weak Arizona offense. I think our secondary has some problems without the strong passrush we had earlier. Also the glaring weakness in our ability to kick a long fieldgoal right now with Aker's problems since his injury. Will still probably pick 49ers but just saving I'm a little worried.

So funny that people still hate on the Falcons even after beating everyone's Super Bowl darling.  People also forget that Kaepernick is still an inconsistent player.  He can play great one week then terrible the next.  Don't know how you can be so confident in this kid in this big of a game. 

The Falcons will have a totally different gameplan on defense this week.  I think this will actually be a lower scoring game.

i agree break, im going over on both games like this week all 4 hit thinking all the temas will put points on the board and i feel SF D will be little to much for Ryan once they hit him a few times he will be rattled and be running for his life. IMO GL all

I'm just going to pray that one of those teams win.... then I'll hedge depending on the superbowl line.... (probably just let it ride tho lol)

point is, I hit the Raven ML last week, and if I can get 7-1 instead of 4-1 it's well worth it, no need to bet the ML this week.... I'll probably just take some props.

I also took the ATL ML last week, and was swetting it out at the end... I think SF is gonna win, but with those superbowl odds, why not take the Falcons at home in a shocker?

I might call in ATL if the line goes high enough, then probably still buy some points...

On the contrary, Kap has been very consistent since taking over.  I'm a local so I see every game, don't let the losse confuse.  In fact, Greg Roman has been criticized over the season for his lack of creativity on offense.  Perhaps he was saving his best for last. . .
