"  usually, i come up empty, but how can i rely on information offered by someone who cannot spell"

    "embarrising"????????

    Classic.

Danstyk-Again, I understand those who don't like teases. I get the entire point. However, if done correctly, I think it lends an edge. Especially when you can cross mutiple key #'s. I've done well with them myself lately. Rarely do they ivolve the same contest though like tonight. Normally it involves 2. For example yesterday I had GB +11/OVER 40.5 in Ariz/STL, NYG -2/NYJ +12, etc.

Whatever works I guess. If you don't like teases, stay away from them. I happen to do fairly well with them. But thanks for the comments and GL.

early lean was on Steelers cause:

1- Moss may not play due to pulled hamstring : game time decision.

2- Holmes will play. Coming back from 1game suspension, he will offer deep threat with his speed.

however, i saw the line moving today.. looks like money's pouring onto the Skins..

    DAMN..  What to do??

I think the safest bet for the $$ today is:

total team point for Pits @ over 17

    almost homeless-

I don't always post the bet slips, but I feel it does give a bit more weight to an opinion. It may not male the opinion any better, but at least I'm putting my money where my mouth is, so to speak.

Yes, that was 6 out of 6. And like I said earlier, that's a personal best on teases. In fact, I rarely tease that many games. I just wasn't comfortable with a lot of the lines and OVER/UNDERs I was seeing.

Again, I understand a tease gives you 2 chances to lose, but again, when you can cross certain key #'s(3, 4, 7) and obvious #'s on totals, then I consider it an advantage.

I rarely parlay, though that's not ALWAYS a bad thing either. Just depends on the bettor, the bet, etc.

Hey, however you can get the money from the book....right?

And the 350 on a Monday night is a bit above average bet for me too. One, I had a real good week, and two, I really like this tease.

HAve a good day. I'm out for a few.

Here's the way I see it, Pittsburgh's run defense is solid and Washington has leaned heavily on Portis to carry the load... I think Portis has a slow day and the pass rush can get to Campbell, forcing his first interception of the season...

Pittsburgh is getting Santonio Holmes back this week and will be going against a weak secondary who will be missing starting corner Shawn Springs leaving Pittsburgh's passing game to have a bit easier path thru the air...Jason Taylor being out also means that the pass rush will be limited from Washington and that seems to be Pittsburgh's biggest problem...

The total looks a bit low as well...Tease it, take Pittsburgh and the over...

Considering Washington hasn't beaten anyone by more than 8 points teasing Pittsburgh to +9 and UNDER 44 looks like a good play. Its more likely this game goes under 30 than over 44.

with regard to tonight's game.  i thought Pitt looked bad against NYG last week.   i thought that was b/c they are not the Pitt of old.  However, i know think they looked so apathetic b/c NYG is simply that good.   Wash is a mystery to me.   you've got to like a team that can move the ball on the ground the way they do.   i don't have a lot of confidence in their qb and i think his play will e key tonight b/c i think the redskins aforementioned run game will be stifled by Pitt's great run d.

i am going with wash b/c of home field adv.   think the under is the play as well.

jason campbell has been playing out of his mind so far during the regular season.  i see pitt blitzing like crazy to get him rattled trying to force him into doing something he hasnt done all year which would be throwing int's.  im also hearing 2 db's out for washington too.  i have pitt at +2.5 right now, and ill buy the hook to make it +3.

and to "almosthomeless" - i really dont think people care about whether or not they're typing correctly in these threads.  have fun spell checking everyone's work while you lose 20k loser.

The next time you bother to make comments on someone's spelling, you might want to use proper capitalization and grammar.  It really is not all that much trouble.  I don't care either way but it's a bit like the pot calling the kettle black, isn't it?

Raulbloodworth  - you're nothing to me now. You're not a brother, you're not a friend. I don't want to know you or what you do. I don't want to see you at the hotels, I don't want you near my house. When you see our mother, I want to know a day in advance, so I won't be there. You understand?

mkan - you should care about how you present yourself to the public.  Also, you will be making a big mistake paying extra for the hook.   remember the old adage "those that by the hook wind up taking it in the can."  that is not mine, that is Nietzsche.

I'M PUTTING 90% OF MY BANK ROLL ON STEELERS TONIGHT!  THEY ARE #1 AGAINST THE PASS AND #3 AGAINST THE RUN PERIOD.  THEY WILL BOTTLE UP PORTIS AND END HIS 5 GAME STREAK.  WASHINGTON DEFENSE IS SOFT AND SO IS THEIR SECONDARY.  MY BIGGEST PLAY OF THE YEAR.  ALSO WATCH OUT FOR JASON CAMPBALLS FIRST INTERCEPTION.

Good luck to you too.  I would not say never to teasers, and I have done them before.  All I can tell you is this is the first year I have gone teaser-free, and I am on track to have my best year yet.  I just find it makes me more focused and disciplined and less hopeful on a "hail mary" type of bet.

It sounds like you have put more thought into this - especially if you focus on key #'s.   The other thing that stinks though is when you would have won anyway -- like in your Giants/Jets teaser -- each of whom covered yesterday.   Hey no complaints if you win but I think when you compare the strategies you should also take into account money you leave on the table.

And I just re-read your post.  I thought you said you went 6-6 (.500.)  6 out of 6 is pretty hard to argue with!

I am leaning towards the STEELERS....  also this has been a teaser free year lol....

early lean was on WASHINGTON but I am thinkin they will not be able to get going against the PITT Defense.... you saw what they did to the Giants rush game last week and the GOALLINE STAND.... I don't see Washington Scoring alot and Holmes and parker back in could be a difference maker....

with Moss's status I don't see him running back any punts or kickoffs or whatever special teams he plays on.... but I do know that this Washington Redskin team almost lost to the Lions last week....

I'm going to take the Teaser and end my teaser free year...

I am leaning towards the Steelers in this one. Sanatana moss for Washington, I believe is out, and Portis is a bit banged up.

in my opinion im going with the OVER, just because the MNF over stats.  Everytime i watch these monday night games offenses are showing up and defenses are letting down. yes these are two very high powered defenses with alright scorin offenses. BUT MNF is the biggest game you could play during the regular season, all the light on just two teams. Also, with such high powered defenses and such controlling offenses you could see 1) a lot of fumbles 2) a lot of interceptions 3) big time special team plays.  Especially for an example, just say washington is pinned down at their own 10 yd line, when they punt i can easily see steelers getting in scoring position fast. yes a lot of field goals tonight but at least 4 touchdowns. Just like how Tenn and Indy came out really strong first half trying to figure out defense, then second half each team picked on each others weakness and then came touchdown after touchdown. I expect the same.

GL everyone OVER for me 36.5

Braylon Edwards should be shot in the fucking face...Anyways, enough venting on that.  I'm looking for this Pittsburgh defense to cause a lot of problems for Jason Campbell tonight and thus create a road victory for the Steelers.  Also like the over but I'd definitely make it a smaller play on that.

Yes they can. I am a huge Skins Fan but I am telling you that our secondary is in bad shape tonight! McFadden is out for Pittsburgh as well. I see the game going over and I like the Steelers with my head and my heart is with the Skins. Little worried though because all of these posts are Steelers favored and I swear the majority loses alot on these posts. Some good info however usually. Steelers +1 and over 37
