Is Parkers still out?  Will the Jags runningback tandem show up?  Can the Steelers play as well as they did in the second half of this most recent MNF game?

All 'n' all I'd say the advantage goes with the home team.  Perhaps a play on the total would be best.  Under feels like a strong play.  I'll likely lay off though.  GL

Steelers are all banged up would probably be more banged up if I could get my hands on them. They cost me some cash on MNF.

Running game is shot they picked up Davenport today via FA. If Big Ben thought he had trouble with the Ravens I think he will find the Jax defense just as difficult to handle.

(AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers lost starting right guard Kendall Simmons and first-round draft pick Rashard Mendenhall to season-ending injuries during their 23-20 overtime victory over Baltimore on Monday night.

Willie Parker will also sit this game out. While FB Carey Davis' status for the contest, is still as of yet unannounced.

Under is the play here IMO
 
Steelers scored 10 on the road against the Browns and 6 on the road against Philly,Jags defense is normally quite good,doubt Pittsburgh will get more then 16 against the Jags here and i doubt the Jags will get more then 16 against the Steelers solid defense

Jags cover 4 here easily. I know the jags D has taken it down a notch, or 3, but the steelers offense has been stagnant, and with parker and mendenhal out I see a much needed convincing win for the Jags.

    Jax seems to have righted the ship. Steelers seem to need that open date on 10/12 to make some adjustments and get back to playing Steeler football. The Steelers will rebound no doubt but I think they are in for a tough one here in Florida.

    By a pt to make it Jag -3....COLD STONE LOCK OF THE WEEK. Pitt is all banged up. Down to the 3rd string RB. Had troubles with the rookie QB last week. Jag will rack up about 21 to 24 pts. It will be enough to cover the spread. 24-13 is the score

    Okay Unit_G, I think that I have it. The under looks to be the play. 36.5 seems to be the magic number to produce an under for the games these teams play. The last two times that the under/over line was set at 36.5 or 36 they produced unders both times when playing. With the Steelers being short handed in the back field and holding open auditions for a running back and settling on Najeh Davenport, a two yard and a cloud of dust back, they will have to pass the ball more. The problem is that Jax knows that and they will turn up the heat, causing three and outs bull rushing the Steelers awful line.
     
    At the same time, the Steelers will try to limit the Jags ground game, well, hell they will limit anybody's anything. I see a defensive battle with Jax doing it out of desperation. I mean they haven't covered at home yet this season. With a 2-2 record, i look for both of these teams to emerge from this game with identical records. I have a lean for the under and for Jax. 
     
    The only problem with taking unders this year is the facemask penalty. Damn near a quarter of the field can be eaten up by a facemask penalty now. It is affecting scores in a major, unseen way. Anyway here are my leans.

    JAX is one of those teams that just have the STEELERS number  PITT has lost me some cash the last 3 week in a row.
    BENS banged up no willie do they even have a runningback left this game screams JAX so Im all over PITT  I hope BEN gets some protection soon or hes in for a long season
