Please, before you mention the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants.  Add the title Super Bowl Champion or World Champions,  you decide.  Either way you slice it the Giants are the best team on the field sunday.  Mcnabb will make mistakes and lose this game.  Eli will make the throws that have to be made and Jacobs and Ward will run wild at home.  Bet the house coughlin will not give up a screen pass over 20 yards.  That shit aint gonna work this week.  G-MEN!!

This is going to be a tight game.  Difficult to take the NYG by more than a field goal.  They can't stretch the field with anyone other than Domenik Hixon and he himself has difficulty getting off the line of scrimmage.  Toomer and Smith and Boss are niche possession receivers.  You could very well make the case the Eagles could bring down the 8th man into the box to pressure the Eagles are force throws to win.  

The Giants are not the same without Plaxico Burress.  Last time these teams met, if you withhold the last TD drive given up in prevent defense, the Eagles held the Giants to only 141 yards the whole game.

And if you look after Plax's injury and beyond the Carolina win  (Carolina Defence in bottom half of league statistically) you see that the G Men scored 8 and 14 (7 from their defense) points respectively.  Frankly, they are struggling on defense and relying on Jacobs will be difficult when the other team knows you are inept on passing.  

The Giants will have to grind this one if they win.

I am taking the Eagles +4 (large), Eagles ML, adding to my position that the Eagles win the NFC +400 because they should handle the Panthers if they get by the Giants.  

And for those that say the Eagles didn't look good in Minnesota, I would say that despite some undisciplined play (8 penalties) they did a great job winning in a very hostile environment against a stout defense.  The Philly defense played excellent and was able to bottle up AP with the exception of one 40 yard run.  McNabb did enough to move the ball and establish field position.  He came up with big throws all day long in clutch situations. 

Beyond all this, it just feels like fate it is alongside this team just making the playoffs and all.

I get to go to Tahoe this weekend for some skiing and gamblin this weekend so I've been interested to see what everyone thinks...
 
I wish McNabb would call me and tell me what Eagles team will show up.  Since I don't have that luxury I will take the over but if I could somehow get the line down at least half a point I'ld take the GMan because of how bad they looked against TJac and co

World Series CHampions HAHAHA means nothing when you still are considered the worst franchise in sports...EVER...gotta win a lot more than 1 world series to get over the hump my friend. 2 world series in about 120 years dont cut it in New York but for people in Philadelphia it does.....

I'm probably going to stay away from this one.... I was leaning Eagles... but they havn't had a red zone touchdown since they played Arizona.....
 
I was going to take the points, but as Jgenti Said... 4 is a shit line....
 
I'm going to sit back, relax, stay away,   and put my money on Steve Smith and Daylightcomeandmewannagohome.... and Ray Murda mixed with a rookie qb and Mr. Ed Reed.... stayin away from PITT as well even  though I think they will take it....

One way you could lose is what happened this year at Philly the game totaled 34 points.  That would be a loser.  In face, since the year 2000 they have played 20 games and split 10-10.  Eleven of those games went under 40.5 and 9 went over.

More data... Last 4 meetings the gmen are 3-1, winning 16-3, 16-13, 36-31 and lost 14-20.  Hmmmm, I see a trend here, under and gmen. 
 
Well history does not always repeat itself, but I like the home field when the point spread is low.  My play is on the defending Super Bowl champions laying 4 points.  I may by a point as I believe this could be a very close game.  Most likely will take the under.  Never know about the weather in NY, maybe a Noreastern will move in.

This game is Giants all the way.Westbrook has had one huge day,and one crap day so far v Giants,and Spagnuolo will have his measure here.Can't trust Eagles offence ,think of games with Bengals,Ravens & Redskins.
Conversely,in a 6 game mid-season stretch the Giants won in Pittsburgh,Arizona,Philadelphia,Washington and at home to Baltimore & Dallas by an average of nearly 13 pts per game!!!!!Four of those teams went to playoffs,other two just missed out.Thats good form.
Ok they went through the motions at end of regular season,but won the only game they had to against Carolina to secure home field advantage.They will have success running the ball,Eli will through in a few plays downfield,and the Eagles will stuggle to score.
Giants will cover with ease,get on!

That being said - these 2 teams almost always play each other hard and usually every game comes down to the wire. But, even with that considered (and the extra time off that the Giants had) the Giants aren't the same Superbowl charging team they were last year, or even the first half of this year. Look at how many key guys are going to be out, or banged up for this game......
I think this game come down to a field goal try - and +4 covers me either way - - Eagles +4 =

I remember last season when the Eagles beat the Lions 56-21, this was a week before they were to play the Giants. The Eagles were red hot and on fire, What happened in the Giant game? McNabb was sacked 12 times and the Eagles only scored a FG (3-16). From 56 points to 3? This past Viking game the Eagles kicked 4 FGs, they have trouble punching it in, one defensive TD and one freak screen pass. 2 weeks ago they couldn't score a TD only a FG against Washington. The Giants run game is going to run over them. Look for 10 minute drives, this will keep our defense fresh. If it's windy it's bad for Philly, i don't see them running wild.
Good teams win games, Great teams cover the spread!

I know that sounds very biased. However, I do believe both defenses show up so under is the best bet.  Philly + 4 is a hunch just because they are hot, but NY is a very good football team.

Boludojones. man you are going way back to the start of the year with a lot of these guys.  I thought maybe you had some insight to something I hadn't heard yet.   Jacobs is the key guy on that list as he is the engine in my mind to their offense.  While he is on the injured list I think it is highly unlikely that he won't play.  At any rate, thanks for taking the time to reply.  All the best to you and I am still going with the gmen, but I must admit it is not my strongest play of the weekend.
