Interesting info on past 4 years for the first round of playoff results on who wins...home teams versus road teams. Wish I could say this was against the spread results, but these were just straight up. The point is, road teams can and do win playoff teams:
Home team record listed first, road team second:
2004 1-3
2005 1-3
2006 4-0
2007 2-2

This is Minnesota's first home playoff game since 2000. It was embarrassing to the franchise that 45 percent of the season-ticket holders declined to buy playoff tickets
Could this have an effect on outcome?????
WHY??

I dont like giving pts on road games either but the Phillys have to be the smart play for me, they are hot and have a better D, so we will see, the over seems likely as well .

If Westbrook is on he can match AP possibly for this 1 game. Saying all that it is still the NFL so ya never know whats going to happen just lookit at SD last night when the betting public had Indy. I'll still go ahead and pick Philly here though.
McNabb or Jackson = McNabb
Philly D or Minny D = Philly D

I was leaning Philly, but skeptical. Now, since reading everyone and their mother rave about Phi I think ill take Minny. No offense, but when everyone (nearly) agrees on somethingn its usually wrong. BOL.

Philly wins this game. Many say Philly isn't even deserving to be in........I say it's Minny that doesn't deserve it. Minny is 6-10 ATS, Philly 10-6 ATS in a much, much better division. The rest of the NFC north was a combined 15-33!!!Minny went 3-3 against playoff teams while Philly went 4-2 beating Pitts brains out, dominating NYG in second game, spanking Arizona and taking care of Atlanta. Minny can't Pass, ranking 25th in the league and aren't anything but middle of the road in overall offense, ranked at 17th. Philly ranks 9th in offense, even with the well documented struggles over a month stretch for McNabb. They are 3rd in Def, 3rd against the run and 4th against the pass and 4th in points allowed. Oh, and rank 6th in scoring!!!!
This is a mismatch from the word go!! I don't see either home team today getting it done.
smart man
waiting to see line movement 2 hrs to go

Injuries: Running back Brian Westbrook and cornerback Asante Samuel are both listed as questionable for the Eagles. Westbrook is struggling with nagging knee and ankle injuries and Samuel is nursing his hip. Samuel missed practice on Friday. Pro Bowl tackle Pat Williams (shoulder) is likely to miss Sunday's game for the Vikings. Fellow defensive lineman Ray Edwards is out with a knee injury.
