Must be a cowboys fan, Philly D not that good? C'mon guss, Romo panics when that blitz is coming and he tosses that ball up. He had 3 picks last year in dallas against philly. The pressure I believe in on Dallas, and with the Eagles/Cowboys finishing out the season against one another, this game may not mean a thing, but that last one is scheduled for a reason...HINT "Division Winners and home field advantage". I think Romo has the offensive advantage as far as receivers, and yes I'm an eagles fan, but I believe if philly can get pressure on Romo early, its over. And watch out for special teams, not one person has mentioned special teams here. Jackson has a return against N.E. in the preseason, another for a large gain, and one last week against the rams. My pick is Eagles +7, dallas D over-rated
no way in this world the Dallas D is overated. Zack Thomas and Tank Johnson alone are monsters on D and will give Mcnabb fits. pacman jones may be overated...but not the overall Dallas D. You will regret it fi you underestimate Dallas for this game

I've watched almost every Dallas game since 1989. and I can honestly say this is one of the best Dallas teams the past 2 decades starting out. Even some of the 90's teams didn't start out as good as this team. (remember the '93 boys that started out 0-2? but won it all anway?)

Fellow bruthas and sisters.......and cockroaches I would like to remind everyone that while Dallas was rolling to yet another Super Bowl visit last year......something happened on way to the party. Philly showed up and shut them down on this same field last year, holding them to 6 points I believe........then Dallas got beat by happless Washington........then lost in the first round of the playoffs.......AGAIN!!! Dallas hasn't won a playoff game in like 12 years boys and girls.......so everyone just lighten up on all the Dallas bandwagon.
There is one fact that everyone has overlooked in this game......it's on the road for Philly........and if you go back and do the homework boys and girls......you will see that Philly has the best record ATS as a road dog over the last 5 years in the NFL!!! Giving them a TD is just plain ridiculous.........and don't forget when looking at Dallas games......especially on MNF.......Vegas has to inflate the number a bit to push off all that "favorite team money!"Dallas is america's team and the boys in the desert know it and that is why this spread is where it is at........it should be 3-4......not 7. Keep pushing it up Dallas backers. Philly 23 Dallas 20

Philly did what they were supposed to do against a terrible Rams team. They did not beat them 10-0, but blew them out. Philly will do what they always do in Dallas. It will be a closely fought contest, who knows who will win, but Philly will cover.

Dallas will cover, They Started the year very strong last year and it looks like the same start this year, they might fall off later in the season but not yet Dallas by 14

Wow ...should be a good MNF Game between 2 team who truely do not like each other......That siad IMHO I think 7 is way to much chalk for a game of this magnitude .....Eagles plus 7

I'm a hardcore Dallas Cowboys fan whos trying to start betting smarter when it's a game that involves them and stop using my heart as a gauge for what to bet. The game last week that Philly played was very impressive against the St. Louis Rams but I think that romping is a little deceiving. There is no doubt that Philly has a really good team but they will NOT win this game. They may get lucky and cover but I'm going to go out on a limb and agree on Dallas by 10pts maybe more but safely 10. We lost to them last season 10-6 in Dallas and we're going to be ready to avenge that loss as Romo and this offense will be running on all cylinders. I do not care that Barber is not 100% because he is a gamer and Felix Jones will do just fine. Lay the chalk here.

Cgizzle, you lost in the past with Dallas otherwise you wouldnt be aiming to bet smarter with them. So why would anyone follow your pick here when you continue your trend?
This game will be a bleeping battle. Both defenses and both offenses will each be dominant for short bursts. The line should be Dallas - 3 so take Philly + 7. If you lay the chalk with Dallas, you will be pissed at yourself when you see Romo frustrated in the 2nd half, and you will wish you had 7 points in your pocket. But if you bet Philly, you'll be loving the 7 points, even if it ends up being a backdoor.
Not sure about the over/under. Leaning towards the first half under. Both coaches will come out conservative. Wade is fat.

Take it easy, big guy. No question Dallas becomes the team to beat with Brady out. BUT I don't think Dallas is going to go 16-0 or win most their games by 30, or even close to that. Yeah Philly rolled a terrible Rams team. But I don't believe the Browns hype. I won't be surprised if they go 6-10 this year. With a healthy McNabb (for now) I see this being a competitive game At first glance 7 seems high...
after tonight's game, everyone can see the browns are awful and cant move the ball.
i was leaning towards Dallas and over teaser, i went complete opposite

The stats I found on Philly as a dog are:
ATS Dog of 3.5-9.5 since 1992...38-29
ATS Dog of 3.5-7 since 1992.....17-13
Are these the same stats that make them the best road dog? I'm not disputing your statement-just wondering if the stats I just posted are considered "good" and close to what you saw.

After a very rough weekend, I'm going to take Dallas here. I know Philly looked good against the Rams, but c'mon it IS the Rams.
DALLAS -6.5 (2 units)
Sure it was the rams but they took care of an inferior opponent like your suppossed to. I could see if Philly struggled against St. Louis and you used that for your justification for picking Dallas, but they whacked the rams.

Bettor trap game---- books are taking in money on Dallas and the Over but lowering the spread and total to take in even more------ sometimes books know what the outcome will be and forget about getting 50% on each side the line to up their profit margins---- Philly and Under is the pick
Safest bet is to tease and to PHI +12.5 UNDER 52.5

I agree!
Average score of their last 4 games is 41 PPG.
Philly has covered 3 of the last 4.
Philly has won 3 of the last 4.
And the clincher....Jessica Simpson tells an Eagle fan in an audience last week, "We'll kick your butts next week."

I am a Dallas fan so keep that in mind. Philly beat a pisspoor Rams team to death at home. Dallas beat a pisspoor Cleveland team on the road. Most people on this site value Pittsburg pretty high and they did nothing against Cleveland. I don't want to hear bad weather, division game, on the road etc. Good teams find a way to win regardless and Pitts did but are they really that good?
I think it's safe to say Cleveland would shuttle the Rams as well. Enough of that and next point. Does Philly think they can beat the Cowboys? I'm not too sure, they are relishing the underdog role right now but dallas isn't overlooking them at all. Everyone has a plan until they get smacked in the mouth...(Mike Tyson).
How long will it take for one team to doubt themselves, that will be where the game is won. Westbrook scares me and so does that defense. That said Dallas has an O line that should scare Philly. If Samuel can handle TO which I think will score at least once fine, but do they have an answer for Witten? Does Pac Man returning kicks make a difference here? Last home Monday Night Football game in the Irving Texas stadium, steeped in tradition make a difference? To the Cowboys and the fans it does.
I went way too long on this game and I'm sorry. I honestly think Dallas has so much emotion tied up in this game that they will treat it like the playoff game they can't seem to win. Set the stage and keep building. Bottom line is Dallas has to win this game and they want it more because Philly knows they will have another chance at home later this year.
My picks have been dogsh*t so far this year but I can't see Philly covering here, maybe I'm wrong but thats my gut feeling. I will take Dallas and pray...
