Matt Stafford could end up on IR again this week but I gotta think that the Lions will gameplan to protect him at all cost. This line wreaks with suspicion to me. I like Detroit on their home turf in the dome. I'll back em AGAIN this week but am NOT calling for a SU win... Just taking Detroit+4 in a game that should be interesting for both teams. There is a potential for a hugh upset by these Lions... I think more so that than a blowout by the Jets so taking the points here easily catches my attention. Go Lions.

    Detroit+4 for me.

This writeup is excellent! I couldn't have stated it better.

There is a potential for a hugh upset by these Lions... I think more so that than a blowout by the Jets so taking the points here easily catches my attention. Go Lions.

    Detroit+4 for me.

This writeup is excellent! I couldn't have stated it better.

    I like Lions +4 here.

The Lions front defensive guys (I call them The Penalty Machines) will have Sanchez on the run all game.  He is at his weakest when he has to make quick decisions and those mistakes will cost the Jets a cover here.

Anyone else think that if all bein said is the case that the total should have opened at 38.0???

41.5 screams action on the under, but I also believe D TOWN keeps this close, scores some points, and helps the JETS push the total over 41.5.

Honestly, both teams are going to run the ball well (obviously jets way better than Detroit) which will inturn lead to many play action passes to some great wideouts on both sideslines.

Detroit will lose by a field goal and JETS will get their much needed road victory.

    27-24  J - E - T - S  JETS JETS JETS!!!! with a detroit cover!

if the JETS dont win this game by more than a TD against detroit....than the JETS will lose ALL self respect.

i am not saying the lions suck, but the JETS are too good of a team not to rebound after a bi-week disaster.....

too bad for the lions, they were getting on a little roll.

    JETS -4

My thoughts exactly.  Gonna wait close to game time and make a Lion play here.  The line should get better than 4.

Wow.....nobody is talking about the best team in the league ATS eh?  Stafford is back.  CJ is on pace to lead the NFL in TD's by a receiver.  Javid Best is a great little back.  Detroit lost only once this year ATS, and that was to Minny when they were 13 point dogs and they lost by 14.  One point separates them from being undefeated ATS!!!!   When I see a trend like that coupled with a young core of players all playing very well across the three key positions on offense......QB, WR and RB........I get on them and don't get off until they buck me off!   The Jets are a very solid D......a pretty good team.....but in a tough spot here.  They need this win, they are on the road and playing a team they are "supposed" to beat relatively easily........I think they will struggle to get the win.  The last team with the ball wins this one......which seems to be par for the course in Detroit games.  I'll take the points since it's more than a FG.

I would normally be all over the Lions in this spot but the Jets just got embarrassed at home.  This Jets team is a real contender and the way they bounce back will make a statement. You got to think that they will be focused, playing the most aggressive football that they can play.  I’m looking for the defense to cover this game.

Suh has stepped up on defense as well for the Lions and I would hate to see what happens to Sanchez if Suh gets to him.

Jets will probably go back to their ground and pound game with LT and Green to take off the pressure from Sanchez.

The Lions on offense has actually been decent lately by showing some ability to strike through the air and score quickly when needed. Calvin Johnson has been coming along nicely to spark the Lions offense.

I feel that the Jets running game will take a lot of time off the clock and their defense will probably be tough as usual. Detroit will probably be able to put some points on the board...maybe not a lot but 9 points by the Packers was all that was needed last week against the Jets for a victory. Probably enough to keep this within the number.

WOW! never thought I would say this but I'm leaning on the Lions

just like last season jets will lose memoentum coming off a bye. i would keep fading the jets  until they finally win another one. also i have to think that detroit likes the taste of victory and they may want to experience what it's like to win 2 in a row. detroit offense is very dangerous - but their def sepecially secondary still sucks. front  is pretty decent.

There is a lot of Detroit love here that I'm just not sold on in this spot.  Detroit may be a decent team, but they are facing off against a very good club coming off a bad loss.   Lions are 6-1 ATS and 3-0 ATS at home...but Jets are 5-2 ATS and 3-0 ATS on road.

So the Lions have looked good lately.  They still have only won 2 games...STL and Wash.   Jets prior to last week had won 5 straight.  And they lost to a good Green Bay team.  Seems like all that success has been negated by most due to one loss, not sure why.  While Detroit does play teams tight, this might be a bad spot to repeat that against an upset Jets squad that is better.

NYJ should have success on the ground with Lions giving up 130/game and a whopping 4.9 per carry average.   On the Jets here with their solid pass defense.

It does look enticing to take detroit in his spot but i think they are more in a letdown spot than the jets. Statswise they are very similar but i think the one area that sets them apart is the defensive side especially against the run. Ny holds a significant advantage there. Ny will put out a 4th qt cover. Jets for the large

detroit has been on a nice roll as ats goes. i wanna look for the winner in this clash of nfl pairity(sp). i seriously doubt the jets will win this game or even stay close for the entire sixty minutes it takes to win the game. the lions wont be in a position to get it within 4. jets 31 - lions 16. bounceback and letdown at the same time maybe the undoing of my thoughts but nonetheless jets.
