Give me Clev also...I was at the Jets game on Sunday in Det & they did F-all all day vs Detroit..they didn't deserve to win that game...if they had a QB that had half a brain they would've won that game....that being said Clev looks alot better the last few weeks...taking CLEV +3

The New York Jets haven't covered a pointspread since early October.  That will change this weekend - Jets will Win and Cover. I'm concerned about this spread moving to -3.5 so I'm betting it now at -3.

Cleveland has been giant killers as of late, taking down the Patriots and Saints in back-to-back games. Neither of those teams play defense like the New York Jets do.  First of all, the Jets eat rookie quarterbacks for lunch, and Colt McCoy is a rookie quarterback. McCoy is overdue for a three interception game.  McCoy has not faced the pressure he will see from the Jets.  New York's elite cornerbacks are so strong in coverage, they don't need help from the safeties, which means the safeties will be up on the line of scrimmage giving Peyton HIllis nowhere to run.  The gameplan for the Jets will definitely be to stop Hillis, and they will.  Cleveland will not score much in this game...a shutout is possible.  The Jets will score enough to win and cover this game. GL all!

GL all!
Nuts just like Baststone in WWII I look for the Browns to keep on rolling.

Browns are a 'feel good' story right now...BUT if you look at the on match ups, How can you not take the Jets ?

Jets receivers are facing one of the worst secondaries in football..Braylon is a clown, but the ahole will 'actually focus' for this game.. and Holmes has been a Browns killer his whole career.
Worse yet, Bernard is probably out for the Brownies...so Sanchez may have time to throw.
On the other side, Browns poor receivers are facing one of the best secondaries in the NFL.

Whoever said you can't compare the Jets D to the Patriots D is right.  Colt can't do it on his own, and I don't believe he gets much help this week honestly.

    JETS -3....BOLTA

This could be anyone's game.  Browns have been competitive in every game and have finally found a real QB.  I don't wanna bet vs. Colt McCoy and I don't wanna bet vs. the Jets until playoff time maybe.....

NO PICK.  If anything, Browns ML for kicks...

    NYJ @ CLE +3 O/U 37.5
    20-17 is close

Looks like CLE is running out of QB's, Colt McCoy's backup is Brett Ratliff. (waived in Sept by CLE and resigned in Oct, I'll bet he still had his stuff in storage in Cleveland)

"I don't know nothin bout birthin babies" but I do know that rookie NFL QB's throw INTS. Colt has 2 in 3 gms.

I did see the NE/CLE gm and it's going to take more than trick, the lineman stay standing plays, to beat the NYJ. Also, NE had bad luck with 2 fumbles that were gm changers.

Colt will really be tested when he has to play the Jets #6 Def.
(#3 in the league in pt allowed/gm at 16.2)
I expect him to make some mistakes.

Besides now that CLE has the hype, NYJ has to bring it.

    Taking NYJ -3

    This is a coin flip.

The public is with the Jets.  However, about 1/3rd of all NFL games are decided by a FG or less. So the bookies are risking very little by giving 3 pts to the Browns.

After 3 games with McCoy, Browns look revived and the players have all bought in to give 100% and see where it takes them.  I'm all for it.  However, in those 3 games the Browns have thrown one TD pass.  To win this game they will need to throw the ball very well and score through the air, just don't see it.

On the flip side the Jets should be able to throw on the shaky Browns secondary.  Jets usually show up when presented a challenge, and the buzz is on the Browns now so I'm sure they will view this one as a test and know the nation is paying attention.  Jets -3

I'm not saying that Browns will win this game, but you should do your homework on Colt McCoy before you lump him into a typical rookie QB category. He's been a winner all of his life. Browns aren't running out of QB's.  They finally found a real one.....you read it here first.

Wow, my hometown Brownies cost me $$$$ last week. I refuse to play a side in a CLE game the rest of the year. I do like a small play on the under. Browns playing good 'D' and Jets will concentrate on stopping Hillis, forcing Colt to beat them, Jets 'D' a tough assignment for a rookie.

Ok, Ok Colt McCoy is the real deal. I didn't know.
After starting out 1-5, the key to the Browns winning was there all along. Who knew Colt McCoy, the 3rd string rookie QB, was a superstar?

He's going to take the Browns who went 5-11 in '09 and 4-12 in '08 to the Super Bowl!!

But as we return to planet Earth we see that ...

If you rank the 32 QB's listed in NFL.com stats by # of pass Att per INT. ( Att/ints) Then McCoy is in the middle of the pack at 34 att/int. Right at #16 behind M. Hasselbeck.

#1 is P. Manning at 87.5 (actually best is M. Vick at infinity since he has 0 INT)
Worst is M. Moore from CAR at 14.3

If you extrapolated C. McCoy's 1 int per 34 att to 250 att (about avg for 8 gms) then it would be 7 INTs, about avg again.

So after only 68 attempts C. McCoy is better than 50% of the QB's in this category.

(not quite 90% osu200200, but I couldn't find any place to bet it.)

"The point here is that a 2010 rookie quarterback should be expected to produce close to a 50 percent completion rate, at least three times as many interceptions as touchdowns, and get sacked once every 18 attempts." Pat Kirwan

    https://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d818a7354&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true

If NYJ can neutralize the run and Hillis forcing McCoy to pass then I gotta go with the stats and believe the rookie will do what rookie QB's usually do.

Besides the league already has this year's rookie standout QB at STL. Could there be another one?

Okay I'll probably be too late as usual but I'm buying in. If Cleveland can romp on the Saints n' Pats surely they can at least give the Jets a game at home though that usually spells disaster when ya start thinking about so and so beat so and so and so on but its too late I already took the FG -- Browns
