I have a feeling the Saints pull off the upset to kick-off the season.

New Orleans - 20                                   Green Bay - 17

The Saints come marching in e-pics, phinn, mcgrumpy, paticake, Irish, Tex, byabeach, rekamyenom & many, many others...GL hope we have a moneymaking season.

The start of the season is begining to look bleak.  And after researching a little more, so is the pick I made above. Green Bay should get it done at home. I think it will be pretty close, in fact depending on how many points the Saints will be getting, they still might cover the spread. They won't win straight up.

If the Saints are getting more than 5. TAKE THEM.

It still looks like an UNDER to me.

 

Eww.  I don't think I'm touching this game.  

It's July 3rd and the strike still not settled, makes me think the dogs might be a live play in week 1 of the season. I certainly think so in this particular game. The Saints were at one time a very good moneymaking road-dog play. I'm now solidly on the Saints plus whatever points the Pack are giving them.

The Saints in full mode traveled to Seattle and laid an egg in thier last meaningful game, which hapened to be in the first playoff game last season while they were trying to defend thier Super Bowl Championship from the previous season.

Now with a lock out shortened offseason I find it hard to believe that they will be prepared to travel (again) and defeat the current "defending" SB Champs.

N.O. is a different team on the road and even more so on grass. Remember early on last season they struggled to win in SF.

The Packers should be better prepared in this one and most would say it's going to be a shootout. I disagree.

My guesstimate is Green Bay-20 New Orleans-14

The pack had better be ready. i truly think the saints suffered a superbowl hangover last season. they werent the best team last year as green bay certainly earned the title. with that said......packers 24 - saints 21. how did i come up with that?  i am a packer fan. haha   should be an entertaining game.  GL to all this season. i need y'alls help.

Saints had a killer offseason and did a great job of strengthening themselves in areas of weakness.  Drew brees was also hurt for most of the year.

eagles fan - Saints scare me.

To many good offensive weapons and 2 great quarterbacks for this game to be under the total it is just gonna be a shootout all game the Nfl wanted this type of game to kick off the year and give the fans a great show ...kinda like the idea of the saints getting 4 points but no real strong opinion on the winner i love the over 47 that's where im going.

The Saints have the advantage in one area: They know whats it's like to be the "hunted". And I dont care what anyone says thats a huge obstacle to overcome, your getting everyones best effort every week for a full 60min. That took it's toll on NO last season along with some key injuries. The Saints drafted a running back that can play everydown and run between the tackles which means they will be able to control the pace of this game. NO strt-up and the Under.

NO +4 (1u) - i like Brees road dog record, altho the grass concerns me, i'll take the points.  Saints 28-Packers 24.

I would rather wait for coloneljim to make his final pick until I decide.

I would go with saints ML, they where sleeping last year, and the madden thing we all know is true once on the cover the next year team sucks, then year after, after the first game people are like wow where were thos saints last year. Saints come out and RUN all over packers!!!!!!!!!!!!
