I won't compare the Colts to Green Bay, but I will compare bigdaddyhpd to Boludojones.

Let's look at one statistic -- number of covers posts:

bigdaddyhpd - 5453
Boludojones - 90

It would appear that in a head-to-head matchup, Big Daddy could cover a spread of 5000 without much problem.

B-jones, I'm sure you're a heckuva guy, but write this down -- bigdaddy's made a lot of people around here some good cake for years now. I think a little more respect is in order. And I'm a Python fan too.

That said, I am leaning on Indy here. I think they have so much more to play for, and have been much more consistent. The one thing that concerns me is their running game on offense this year. But I also know that this is a team that knows how to focus on and correct problems -- I think they'll figure it out here and deliver a solid win. They have not had very many convincing double-digit wins this year, and I think they're due for one.

Still thinking, but for now a solid lean toward Indy -6.5. Might see if it goes to -6.

Jax is not the same team as last season and not the same as the team that started this season. They have regressed to where I have to put my money on Indy and Think they will cover at least a TD.

Colts WR Harrison out vs. Jaguars

INDIANAPOLIS (TICKER) —Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison will miss this week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a hamstring injury, head coach Tony Dungy announced Wednesday.

The injury originally was listed as a knee injury, but Dungy said it was a hamstring. The results of an MRI were not revealed. Harrison did not make the trip with the team.

The holder of virtually every major receiving record for the Colts, Harrison has played in every game this season after missing 11 last year with a knee injury.

The 13-year veteran is the Colts’ third-leading receiver this season with 53 receptions for 605 yards and five touchdowns.

Harrison had only two catches for 22 yards in a 31-21 win over Detroit last week. He caught four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Colts’ 23-21 loss to Jacksonville in Week Three.

Anthony Gonzalez, who has been effective as a third receiver, will start opposite Pro Bowler Reggie Wayne. Gonzalez has 52 catches for 614 yards and four scores.

The Colts (10-4) have reeled off seven straight victories and can secure a seventh straight playoff berth with a win over the Jaguars.

3,4,4,3,4. That is the margin of victory respectively in the Colts 5 road wins ( stuck in there are 2 losses ). I don't see how this is a GIMME! Granted Jax has sucked, and I mentioned last week it looked like they had quit. I also stated that it was not in Del Rios vocabulary. It could be Jax's SUPER BOWL . Just playing devils advocate here but it is still not a gimme because these two teams HATE each other. I think if you like the Colts you have to like the under also because every Colts cover last ten have gone under. Every Jags cover has gone over ( odd huh ?).Well BOL to all

Not to take away from Indy's recent success, but no team has been treated better by the schedule makers. The Colts' last four wins have come against deeply troubled teams, San Diego, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Detroit.

over is 5-0-1 this year for thurs night games. Theory my friend has for strategic TV advertising. ( They want you to buy the NFL network, so they gotta have high scorin action so its more interesting)......im just sayin.......

Indy and Jacksonville have split games ATS in the same year for the past five years. Jacksonville covered the first game so it's gotta be Indy in this game. Also every year the O/U gets split as well. First game O this game U. I'm going by the trends. Indy is playing some good football right now, so i'll roll with them.

With the loss of Harrison the colts have actually got healthier this week. Also IND is 3-0 on games with short weeks over the last 8 seasons and avg 35.7 ppg. If they get anywhere even close to 30 JAX wont be able 2 keep up.

Dungy also gave his defense a lot of rest last week against the lions, which could be the reason for not covering. He played 5 different players at D-Tackles and 5 at D-Ends.

I just can't see how the Jaguars can keep it close. They are one of the biggest disappointments in the league this year. Sure, historically these two teams have played close. But then again, JAX has been a strong team the past few years. This year has been nothing but a struggle. Indy is beginning to hit their stride and truth be told, I doubt this game will even be close. Place your bets now before the line gets to 7 or more!

This is exactly what Vegas wants, More money on the Colts.
Colts -6 seams like it's way too low. Everyone assumes the Colts should win by 10+ points. I'm really stuck now, may just have to do a 6 point teaser with the Colts and Over.

indy should be a good play........7 wins in a row for indy,theyre finding ways to win,plus consider this,i know he probably hasnt thought about it but if peyton lights up the jags and takes out the titans last game of the year peyton will have some mvp votes as there's no clear frontrunner right now in my opinion,jags may keeo it close for awhile but even if they dont get a td every drive peyton will march the ball down the field and get points.........indy and the over

very fishy game here...has all the makings of a Jags cover

if you cap this game based on knowledge, stats, and players, you would take Indy easily, thinking no way they don't win by at least 10

that's why i'm taking: JAX +7 - buying the hook fo show

this reminds me of when IND went to CLE in wk 13...line was low, around 5....peyton was hot, and coming off of good games (and wins) against NE, PIT, and HOU....well, right after him being hot, he laid an egg in cleveland and went for 125 and 0TDs with 2 picks...of course they didn't cover, and 90% of the population was shocked b/c they took IND...anyone capping that game for the same exact reasons as i'm reading in this thread got their asses kicked

the same thing will probably happen tonight
