HOU +7 (2units): Score: Texans 18-Jets 24

Houston continues to struggle. Giving up way too much points. I'm not completely sold that they will get their pass defense on track. Playing against a top tier defensive team in the league, I'll take the Jets - 7. I see Jets winning by 10-14. BOL.

Andre Johnson will still be able to make some catches but he can not be relied on for this game. A lot of the other Texans receivers will need to step up for it to be close. Jets rank 5th against the run, Foster will probably get 110 yards and a TD, but they will be very tough yards.

With that being said, I'm going with the +6.5 for Houston.

    For this game, I see a  "turning of the key" for the fate of the NY Jets. Last 2 games for NY haven't been anything to start pinninning championship hopes on. They narrowly beat the Browns in OT. In the meantime, Houston's dramatic comeback effort was halted with a freak deflected hail mary pass TD. The Jaguars were clearly outplayed in the 2nd half. After suffering a "bad beat", the Texans will go all out in this contest!

Yeah, 7-2 but 2 overtime games and a squeaker at Denver? They could just as easily be 4-5 right now. Also, other than the Patriots, who have they really beat? Detroit? Buffalo? Cleveland? Minnesota? Denver? O.K. - I'll give you Miami, but come on. Texans plus a touchdown seems like the logical bet.

Yep, and i also know the last two were back-to-back OT wins, against teams with a combined 5 wins, i'm not saying they're lucky, i'm just sayin.  Also Kubiak is 9-1 ATS in his second consecutive road game.  Sanchez is looking great recently, but their defense has some issues.  Also remember the jets scored a combined 9 points at home in losses to Baltimore and Greenbay, Anyway, i think the situation is looking good for the Texans to win ATS.  GL 

hou will not have time to attack the jets down field.  This blitz heavy team will be all over Shaub in a hurry.  Ill take my chances with cromartie or revis on a hurried pass downfield.  Lay 7...this will be kubiaks last year.

Houston QB in hospital with knee injury?

Capping this game is simple, IMO...last 5 games Jets haven't allowed over 20 points.  Last 5 games Texans haven't held anyone under 29.  One defense is tough and aggressive...the other is soft and can't cover anyone (ie: San Diego with almost all their receivers out).  I expect Sanchez, Edwards, and Holmes to light the Texans up early and often.

NY Jets -7 (-110) New Yorkers will think the Jets are the team of the century after this one. The Jets are likely to see their best offensive output of the season in this game while putting the BAM on the Texans offense. The NYJ will score on both sides of the ball hopefully early and often as well.

Favorite NFL game this week. Texans will keep this one close. Large play on Texans +7 and small play on Texans ML!!

jets have had horseshoes up the ass lately i like the desperate texans to show up and beat the 7.5 spread , they can't stop anybody but seem to find the'yre groove in the 2nd half of games if they can keep the damage to a minimum in the 1st half i like them to maybe win this outright  Texans + 7.5 and a little sprinkle on the moneyline for me.

Texans running back Arian Foster missed practice Friday after flying to Los Angeles because of a death in the family, and linebacker Zac Diles spent Thursday night in the hospital suffering from flu-like symptoms, missing a second consecutive day of work.

Quarterback Matt Schaub took all of his regular reps at Friday's practice after having also been hospitalized Wednesday to receive intensive treatment for bursitis in his right knee.
