Now with TJ Yates taking all the first team reps in practice this week, I expect a better gameplan, and a more solid outing out of this underachieving Texans team, especially with the Colts losing on Monday night and facing Denver this week. Not to mention the 49ers will be playing the Titans, so if you think about it, a win here would put the Texans only a game out of first assuming both the Colts and Titans lose.
The angle I like most about this game is that the Texans also happen to be going into the bye next week, and will desperately try to right their sinking ship. Also keep in mind, the Chiefs have upcoming games against the Browns and Bills. Shall we expect the Chiefs to go 9-0 into their week 10 bye.....hmmmm?
The Chiefs look like they are due for a cooler as their offense was less than inspiring against the Raiders last week. Alex Smith went 14 for 31 with a 128 yards and no touchdowns. That type of effort at home against the Oakland Raiders is a bit disheartening if you ask me.
I like the Texans to give one heck of an effort this Sunday, while the Chiefs look a little long in the tooth at 6-0. This is the time to take the Texans....not when they're laying 10 at home.
I am probably going to get a lot of haters for this prediction, but here's my final.

With all respect to sammy ---I can understand your concerns since the midwest books have always been soft on the chiefs---seems like a gimme with the texans with the chalk ---but I still think this is all a smoke screen to take your eyes away from the outcome ---chiefs will cover ---shhh that one all the way to da bank
