anyone that has ever seen the Browns play, should know that even though anderson made the pro bowl, he is not a pro bowl qb.he had about 8 good games last year, then the league adjusted to him, and he has never been the same since. he leaves his receivers in jeapordy every time he throws the ball. quinn is definatley an upgrade. also in the past the little bit that he played in a real game he showed alot of poise.

and yeas romeo crennel needs to go, he makes some of the dumbest coaching decisions i have ever seen. like being down 21 to dallas and kicking a feild goal. he also did it in the pittsburgh game, late in the game down by a touchdown. then in the washington game, when we needed 2 scores, and should have kicked a feild goal, he goes for it and gets stuffed. they got lucky on the next drive and got a fumble recovery, otherwise they would not have even scored a touchdown in that game.

cleveland is averaging 8.375 points at the half.
cleveland is allowing 9.375 points at the half.

if we look into this even further and break it down to home / away.....

denver is averaging 9 points at the half on the road.
denver is allowing 11 points at the half on the road.

cleveland is averaging 9.25 points at the half at home.
cleveland is allowing 13.75 points at the half at home.

in my opinion, the denver stats are skewed because this team has been a much different team the last 5 weeks as opposed to their first 3 weeks of the season. in their last 5 games, denver has scored a total of 30 points by halftime. that's an average of 6 per game. 3 TDs and 3 FGs in 5 games.

I've flip-flopped 20 times reading these posts. Which means I should probably stay away. But I'm thinking Cleveland and the over. Two horrible defenses with tons of injuries should help the over. Plus I don't trust either of these quarterbacks to play flawless games tonight so we might get some cheap points. Cutler has been making mistakes all year and Woody Paige recently wrote in the Denver Post that Shanahan should be fired. Shanahan is 20-20 over his past 40 games. The Broncos have won only 13 of their past 31 games (and four victories were on a blown referee's whistle, two blown field goals, a blown extra point and a fumble at the beginning of overtime). With the loss to Miami this past Sunday, the Broncos are 8-11 in November and December from 2006-08. Since advancing to the AFC championship in 2005, the defense and its players and the coordinators and their schemes have been blamed for the Broncos' mediocrity and failure to return to the playoffs. But the Broncos' offense has scored fewer than 21 points in 24 of 40 games. Twenty- four!  In their last 5 games the Broncos have been outscored 27.4-15.2 and have a record of 1-4.

 

Cleveland on the otherhand hasn't looked terrible. They've actually outscored their opponents in the last 5 games 23.2-18.8 and have a record of 3-2. That total actually could've been higher if Braylon Edwards could catch the ball. He might even be matched up at times tonight against a rookie cornerback recently picked up off the practice squad because of Champ Bailey's injury. I also expect the browns offensive line to dominate the broncos front four. They outweigh them 312.4- 279.8. Add in Lawrence Vickers clearing a path for Jamal Lewis and that looks like a huge mismatch. I also don't think the Browns will put too much on Brady Quinn's plate given that it's his first game and it's on a short week. As a Steelers fan it kills me to say:

I think Brady will do good but....will it be enough to stop the dangerous Broncos pass offence?  I think Brady will be no better than Anderson!  Did anyone see that pick that Dereck Suggs returned last week?  My guess is:

The Clev Defense should be able to step it up tonight (ala MNF vs Gmen) for the first Thursday Night Game.

 

The only x-factor is Torain.. Hopefully, Brown Defense can contain him..

quinn knows how to throw the shot pass, which anderson could never seem to get down. he would throw it way over the running backs head, or throw it at their feet.

 

Whats with everybody on this thread blowing the Browns all the time?  They're marginal at best and clearly not making the playoffs(which will be proved tonight )!  I think the Broncos will have a big game tonight, they know if they lose they let San Diego right back in the playoff picture.  The Browns will be basically be eliminated from playoff contention tonight as they should have been already!
